Robbie Savage shows off full-sized Cristiano Ronaldo back tattoo

He really enjoyed the United game

BT Sport pundit Robbie Savage has shown off a new Cristiano Ronaldo tattoo that covers his entire back.

The 47-year-old shared an image of the fresh ink with his 1.6 million Twitter followers along with the caption: ‘2 words, absolutely love it. Cheers mate’.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

Savage booked in for the mammoth tattooing session after witnessing the Portuguese’s Champions League heroics at Old Trafford last night.

Viewers praised the way in which the Welshman carried out his co-commentary duties with total impartiality as Manchester United came from two goals down to clinch a 3-2 victory over Atalanta with Ronaldo scoring an 81st-minute winner.

Discussing the new body art with Paddy Power News, Savage gushed:

‘I think tattooist has done a marvellous job here. It’s all the detail. I mean look at those neck muscles, WOW!’.

‘Wake up your kids, something special is happening in this tattoo parlour tonight’.

The former Derby County long-distance runner recounted a previous meeting with Ronaldo during his first spell with the Red Devils:

‘I remember Ronnie spat at me after I’d fouled him for the 43rd time in the game. The gob landed on my shorts which I never washed’.

After posting the image on social media, Savage’s agent refuted claims his client was showing bias towards Ronaldo and Manchester United.

‘Robbie has portraits of other Premier League legends on his body’, revealed the agent.

‘Just last week he had John Terry’s faced etched onto his left arse cheek’.

Meanwhile, it’s understood Old Trafford grounds staff were forced to power wash the BT Sports gantry following Savage’s stint in there.

‘Clearly, Robbie got a little too excited’, said groundsman Ivor Green while blasting the walls with a Karcher pressure washer.

‘He hit the ceiling when Ronnie planted that header past the Atalanta goalkeeper.

‘We usually have the same problem when Steve McManaman commentates here and United lose’, he added.

‘Teas, coffees, Bovril – and everything else – it all goes flying’.
