Mohamed Salah just loves to feast on promoted teams to the Premier League and has been involved in 26 goals in 26 games (15 goals, 11 assists) against them since he joined The Reds in the summer of 2017.
The Egyptian King has also scored twice already away from home against Premier League new boys this season against Norwich in August and again at Brentford late last month. Salah has found the net in each of his last five league games and we expect to see him make it a superb six (or more) during Saturday’s earlier kick-off. After all, he has a promoted teams set to complete.

The international break hasn’t been kind to Man United’s somewhat iffy defence as summer signing Raphael Varane limped out of France’s Nations League final victory over Spain last Sunday. The injury will reportedly leave the centre back out for a few weeks and piles on the misery for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Harry Maguire also struggling to recover from a calf injury.
All that will leave Jamie Vardy licking his lips at the prospect of taking on a wounded Red Devils backline. The former England striker scores a goal every three games on average (five in 15 appearances) when he faces United and having not found the net in the six previous meetings of the sides in all competitions, Vardy is certainly due one this weekend. He has also hit the onion sack four times in his last three outings and will come into this contest fresh, having had the international break to rest.
15:00 Man City v Burnley – Riyad Mahrez To Score Anytime
We had originally picked Ferran Torres in this slot, but it was revealed late on Thursday that the forward suffered a fractured foot while he was away on international duty with Spain. Torres picked up the knock in last week’s UEFA Nations League semi-final against Italy and was subbed off because of it after scoring twice in the game.
However, he was somehow medically cleared to start the Nations League final last Sunday, which Spain lost 2-1 to France in controversial fashion. He played a total of 84 minutes in the final and it was only following subsequent tests that the true nature of his injury was revealed late on Thursday. As such, we’ve had to search for a replacement and, boy, have we found one!
With Gabriel Jesus being tied up with Brazil duties into the early hours of Friday morning, that should open the door for Riyad Mahrez to start in his favoured position out on the right-hand side of the City attack. He returns to Manchester in fine form on the back of a great international window for his country, having scored three times in two games for Algeria in World Cup qualifiers.
If you needed a further incentive to back Mahrez to score, we’ll give you a few! The winger just simply loves battering in goals against Burnley, especially for City. Mahrez has found the back of The Clarets’ net eight times in 13 matches against them and he has scored six of those goals in the last two seasons – which includes a hat-trick at the Etihad last term.
He has been a constant pain in Sean Dyche’s backside every time he has faced Burnley, and given The Clarets usually get a hiding away from home at City, Mahrez is sure to have plenty of opportunities to pile on the pain for the Turf Moor outfit.
15:00 Aston Villa v Wolves – Danny Ings To Score Anytime
If you were looking for an example of a smooth transition when it comes to a Premier League player transferring between clubs, then Danny Ings might just be your man. The former Liverpool and Southampton striker has certainly hit the ground running since moving to Aston Villa, scoring a goal in each of the club’s opening pair of Premier League fixtures. He has also picked up two assists so far this term, demonstrating how he has already become a key part of Dean Smith’s attacking game plan.
Ings has had a little bit of a drought of late, going five league matches without a goal. But, we all know a quality striker like him won’t be kept quiet for long. He also seems to relish playing Saturday’s opposition Wolverhampton Wanderers and netting against them last February for Southampton. Don’t be surprised if he repeats that trick this weekend.
