It’s actually happening. Cristiano Ronaldo is returning to Manchester United after 12 years away and it’s fair to say the transfer has caused a bit of a stir. And no sooner had The Red Devils confirmed that old Crissy was returning to England than Paddy’s trust traders rustled up some special markets to celebrate.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
So, is it going to be plain sailing for the pruning Portuguese or is it going to be a disaster? However you think it’s going to play out there’s a market for you from red cards to hat-tricks and amount of goals he’ll score. So, let’s take a look.
One thing Ronaldo guarantees is goals and Paddy’s traders think it’s odds on that he scores 22 or more this season in the Premier League. They’re not even contemplating he’ll bag less than that.
The traders have also priced up some incremental goal tallies, including 24 or more, 26 or more, 28 or more, 30 or more and 32 or more goals in the Premier League in 2021/22.
Maybe it will go so badly/well that Ronaldo decides to call it a day/go out on a high and we’ve got a price on Ronaldo announcing his retirement on the last day of the 2021/22 season. It’s less likely that he scores in both games against the old enemy Manchester City this term.
Ronaldo’s second debut could come against cannon-fodder aka Newcastle United on September 11th. He’s a juicy price to crown his return against Steve Bruce’s boys with a hat-trick.
You can also have a flutter if you think the fiery forward will get set off against Liverpool. Not known for tracking back, or defending in general, Ronaldo’s a very juicy price to score an own goal. He just loves scoring goals, you know he’ll be adding it to the tally.
