It’s coming home, it’s coming home, it’s coming, football’s coming home. Chances are you’ll be hearing that all summer if England end 55 years of hurt.

A quarter of a century has passed since Baddiel, Skinner and the Lightning Seeds released the tune for Euro 96 when England played host to the continent’s brightest and best.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

Despite this summer’s European Championship taking place in different countries, the Three Lions have home advantage in their Group D games while Wembley also hosts the semi-finals and final.

English expectations are high and, with one month to go until the action gets underway, England are Paddy Power’s favourites at 9/2 to win Euro 2020.

The Three Lions kick off their campaign against Croatia on Sunday June 13 no doubt eager to dish out revenge for the World Cup semi-final three years ago. The memes will be off the scale if Harry Kane doesn’t cut the ball back to Raheem Sterling again…

The Friday night Battle of Britain with Scotland has the makings of an all-time classic before rounding off their Group D campaign against Czech Republic.

It could be in England’s favour to avoid winning their group because the ‘reward’ would likely be a tasty last-16 tie against France, Germany or Portugal from the Group of Death (or Group F to give it it’s official name).

Poor old Hungary complete the quad of teams and the incentive to top that group is high as the winner will play the best third-place team from Group A, B or C.

France, Germany and Portugal feature prominently in Paddy Power’s outright market and all three countries will be desperate to avoid an early exit – even if it means progressing as one of the lucky losers.

FIFA may claim Belgium are the best team in the world with their oh-so-fancy rankings but Roberto Martinez’s men are only third in our betting at 6/1. Group B also features Russia, Denmark and Finland so you’d expect the Red Devils to qualify for the next stage of the tournament.

Spain are available at 7s – and their path to the final will be influenced by their group-stage performance up against Poland, Sweden and Slovakia. La Roja will be hoping to go much better than five years ago when they crashed out to Italy in the Round of 16.

Roberto Mancini has got the Azzurri ticking again after they failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup and Italy can be nabbed at 9/1 to win the Euros for a second time in their history.

We’re officially a month away from the first match of the European Championship, when Mancini’s men host Turkey in Rome. It’s shaping up to be a cracking summer of football so keep Paddy Power News among your tabs for the best betting tips and insight.
