NEW TO PADDY POWER?
Sheffield United v Brighton
Obviously, Sheffield United are relegated and that’s factored into the prices here. Brighton opened at around 6/5, 5/4, and they’ve shortened in to what they are now. It’s justified. Sheffield United were unlucky again against Wolves, I’d say, in terms of they nearly scored at one end and the very next play they conceded and that’s it they lose the game.
Saturday 8pm: Sheffield United v Brighton
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Their form, particularly in the last five games has not been particularly good, they’ve lost all five games, only scoring one goal, conceding 13. Brighton are actually on a bit of a decent run in their last five. Two 0-0s against Chelsea and Everton.
They took the lead at Old Trafford and won the other two games quite comfortably as well. On the last five games they’d actually be 6th in the table so they’re finally performing where a lot of their xG says they should be for the season.
Brighton to Win
So, all of these things factored in, I’d be looking to side with Brighton to Win as they are still wanting to put points on the board. They’re seven points clear of relegation so they’ll still want more to just box that off.
Danny Welbeck to Score First
I’m expecting a low-scoring game and what I’d suggest is Danny Welbeck to Score First. He started the recent games for Brighton and scored at Old Trafford.
The stats back it up as well if you’re looking for value in the market. Danny Welbeck, in terms of the quality of chances that he gets is to the same level roughly as Neal Maupay who takes the penalties.
If they’re both on the pitch Welbeck is the bet and if Maupay isn’t playing then Welbeck is even bigger value so I’d back him over Maupay. I don’t expect many goals so get the better value on Welbeck to Score First.
