Kane confirms Spurs exit as he ‘plans to win trophies’ next season

He wants to win stuff? Bye-bye Tottenham

As rumours swirl of a move away from Tottenham, England captain Harry Kane has announced he will decide his future after the summer Euros, but admitted he’s excited to win trophies from 2022 onwards.

During a virtual hotpot cookery class, Kane was asked about a possible move but insisted it shouldn’t be talked about, as any speculation surrounding him leaving the North-London club could have a negative impact on their highly anticipated trophyless finish and battle for mid-table supremacy.

“I’m not going to get into a conversation about hypothetical deals, okay our kid?” said the 27-year-old.

“I was just saying in my WhatsApp group chat with John Stones, Kyle Walker and Phil Foden that all I want to do is focus on my football, score lots of goals, have a good Euros with England and listen to my Oasis CDs.”

Despite referring to current team-mates Erik Lamela and Dele Alli as “bobbins”, the Tottenham captain did outline his love for the Lilywhites.

“If you forget about the 14 loan spells I had and ignore the fact I was a boyhood Arsenal fan, you’d know that deep in my heart I am a one-club man,” said a passionate Kane.

“I’d love nothing more than to win the Premier League here, but I’ve got to be realistic and accept that while our new stadium might consist of lots of futuristic technology including pints of lager that pour from the bottom up in under 4 seconds, it isn’t a f*cking time machine that can take me back to the glory days of April 2016, just before we went all Spursy with four games to go in the title race.”

Kane finished the interview by discussing the importance of the Croatia fixture on 13th June and what international success would mean to his football career.

“It’s a huge opportunity to put the ghost of 2018 to rest. I promise not to make the same greedy-b*stard mistake again. I will be passing to Raheem every chance I get in the future, for both club and country.

“If we win the Euros, I assume it will be the first of many for me. No doubt a big night on the town celebrating will be in order. Do you know if the Haçienda is still open?”
