Football Tips: We’re playing away in Saturday’s 13/1 international footy treble

14:00 – Russia v Slovenia – Slovenia to win

Russia needed a win against Malta to get some confidence ahead of a crucial tie against Slovenia. It was their first win in seven matches. Their home record is equally poor with just one win in the last five home games. Stanislav Cherchesov is coming under pressure and they really struggled in that win over Malta with a late goal. Slovenia are the complete opposite and come into this game having beaten 11^th ranked Croatia in midweek 1-0. They are on a nine-match unbeaten run. What’s really impressive is in that run they have eight clean sheets.

The last time Slovenia suffered defeat was against Poland in a Euro Qualifier back in 2019. Slovenia are unbeaten in the last three matches away from home and I expect it to be four after this tie on Saturday afternoon. Slovenia To Win.

19:45 – Czech Republic v Belgium – Belgium to win

Both sides will be looking to make it back-to-back wins when they meet in Prague on Saturday night. Czech Republic opened their Group E campaign with a 6-2 victory against Estonia while Belgium recorded a 3-1 victory against Wales having gone behind early. Tomas Soucek is the star man for the Czechs bringing his excellent form with West Ham this season and scored a brace against Estonia.

Belgium are many people’s favourites for the Euros this Summer and Roberto Martinez’s side have won their last five matches in all competitions. They have an incredible squad and two quick games will pose no problems. The Red Devils should have way too much going forward against Czech Republic and it should be plain sailing for Kevin De Bruyne and Co. Belgium To Win.

19:45 – Serbia v Portugal – Portugal to win

A huge game in the context of this group with both sides coming into this game on the back of hard-fought victories. Serbia are impressive going forward and Aleksandar Mitrovic came off the bench to score a brace against the Republic of Ireland last Wednesday. Surprisingly, Portugal struggled against Azerbaijan but will come on for that game having trained just once together before the game in Turin. Portugal rested some of their players with one eye on the Serbia game and Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes will be much more focused for Saturday’s game.

Portugal arguably have one of the strongest squads in World Football at present and I expect it to be a long night for the Serbian defence. In six games between the sides, Serbia have never beaten Portugal and that record won’t change on Saturday. Portugal To Win.
