19:00 Blackpool v Peterborough: Draw

Peterborough salvaged a draw from the jaws of defeat at Rochdale on Saturday and were fortunate to see Hull, Sunderland, and Lincoln all drop points, but it could have been so much better. Darren Ferguson’s side were 2-0 up at half time, but conspired to concede three goals in 35 minutes and looked likely to slip to a damaging defeat before Jonson Clarke-Harris’ late penalty.

That point could prove vital, but it is now just one win in five for Posh as the race for the automatic promotion heats up. They simply need three points on Tuesday night, however The Posh will find the going tough against an in-form Blackpool.

Neil Critchley’s side are unbeaten in their last nine league games and now look well-placed to make the top six, standing just three points off sixth-placed Charlton with four games in hand. This is a huge opportunity to close the gap on the teams above them, but they may have to settle for a point.

19:00 Northampton Town v Oxford United: Oxford to win

Northampton need to start picking up wins if they are to have any chance of avoiding an immediate return to League Two. They have won just two of their last 16 league games and could badly do with a win at home to play-off-chasing Oxford United to move out of the bottom four and ease their relegation fears.

Oxford, on the other hand, know that a win could see them jump from 11th to sixth if other results go in their favour and they will hope to put an inconsistent run of form behind them with a win on Tuesday.

Oxford have won two, lost two, and drawn two in their last six games and need to start taking more points if they are to take advantage of a congested league table and make a late surge for the play-offs. They should have enough to see off Northampton and give their play-off hopes a real shot in the arm.

19:00 Bristol Rovers v Swindon Town: Bristol Rovers to win

Both Bristol and Swindon sit just above the bottom four and either side could find themselves in the relegation zone depending on results elsewhere on Tuesday.

The two sides are currently level on points and goal difference, with Swindon sitting just above Bristol in the league table courtesy of goals scored. They both evidently need a win in this six-pointer and Rovers will hope to capitalise on Swindon’s poor away record to claim a vital three points.

Swindon boast the worst away record in League One with just 12 points from 17 games, while Bristol have a relatively decent home record of 20 points from 17 games. The two teams have both lost four of their last six games and are hard to split on paper, but Bristol are marginal favourites due to Swindon’s poor away record.

19:00 Burton Albion v Shrewsbury Town: Burton to win

Burton suffered their first defeat in eight games on Saturday, but their run of 19 points from 21 in the seven previous games has effectively secured their League One status for another season. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has clearly had a huge impact since his arrival at the beginning of the year and his side can leapfrog Shrewsbury in the league table with a win on Tuesday night.

The Shrews are unbeaten in their last three games, but they have only managed six points from their last six. Both sides are virtually safe from any threat of relegation and can now focus on finishing as high in the table as possible. The Brewers are probably the better-placed of the two to pick up the victory though.
