There’s plenty of football action all across Europe on Saturday & PPTV’s Graham Temple has had a scan through the entire coupon to fish out what he considers three ‘good things’ for a solid treble.
14:30: Werder Bremen v Bayern Munich – Bayern to win
Bayern Munich sit on top of the Bundesliga but they haven’t by any means got the title sewn up just yet. They’re only two points ahead of RB Leipzig and we can be sure that Hans-Dieter Flick’s men won’t be in any mood to let their advantage slip. Bayern have been in great scoring form lately too. Knocking four goals past Lazio away from home in the Champions League on February 23 and then following that up with two convincing wins at home in the Bundesliga against Cologne and Dortmund.

BT Sport 2
The European champions have also been averaging close to three goals per game in their last seven matches in all competitions. Werder Bremen will surely be only cannon fodder for the in-form League toppers. It’s also worth noting that Werder Bremen have lost the last 13 matches they’ve played at home to Bayern Munich.

14:30: Wolfsburg v Schalke – Wolfsburg to win
Schalke are in disarray having not won a match in any competition since January 9. They’ve only won one of their 24 games in this season’s Bundesliga and they’re eight points behind Mainz at the foot of the table. Wolfsburg, on the other hand, are having a solid season and sit third in the division and will be keen to cement their place in next year’s Champions League. They’ll also be looking to bounce back from recent defeats to Leipzig in the German Cup and Hoffenheim away in the League.

Who better to have visiting other than the division’s whipping boys. A couple of additional stats on the visitors; Schalke have only scored eight goals and conceded 35 in 19 away games in the division, so on that alone the best they can hope for is to score half a goal if there was such a thing. I think Wolfsburg to win this match looks a solid play in our treble.
20:00: Getafe v Atletico Madrid – Atletico Madrid to win
Looking at the prices for this match I was surprised to see Atletico at only a shade of odds on. Then I checked their schedule and see they’re due to play Chelsea away in the Champions League next Wednesday where they need to recoup a one-goal deficit. No doubt they’ll have one eye on that match but they also need to take care of domestic business as they sit six points clear at the top of the La Liga table. Statistically, Getafe have absolutely no chance in this match.
Saturday 20:00 : Getafe v Atletico Madrid
La Liga TV
Atletico have won without conceding a goal on their last eight visits to the Coliseum Alfonso Perez and unbelievably Getafe have not scored a goal against Atletico in their last 18 head-to-heads. Atletico’s main attention may be elsewhere but I don’t expect them to take their eye off the ball in this match. Three points beckon for the best team in Spain at the moment.
Be lucky AND remember to only bet for entertainment AND with money you can afford to lose.
