18:00 St Mirren v Motherwell: Both Teams To Score

We start in Scotland and head to St Mirren Park for the first of four matches where I believe both teams can score and land a nice four-fold for us this Wednesday night. The home side head into this match unbeaten in their last three games following a 4-0 defeat to Celtic earlier this month. A scoreless draw at Aberdeen and two 1-1 draws at home against Hamilton and Livingston sees Jim Goodwin’s side in sixth-place in the table.

It’s a big game for Motherwell, who currently sit four-points off the bottom of the table with three wins and three defeats in their last six matches. There’s a good recent history of both teams scoring in this fixture, with that clicking three times from four matches in the past two years.

The Saints have only managed one home clean- heet in all competitions (12-matches) since last November, while The Steelmen have scored in nine of their previous 12 away matches in all competitions since last September.

18:00 Nimes Olympique v FC Lorient: Both Teams To Score

The Costieres Stadium in France is our next port of call with a relegation six-pointer between Nimes Olympique and FC Lorient in Ligue 1. Both sides are currently in the relegation zone and a victory for the home side would see them overtake tonight’s opponents, pushing FC Nantes into the bottom three instead.

It’s a big incentive for Pascal Plancque’s side who really need to show more at home, having lost five of their last six games. However, they come into this match with some confidence having won away at Dijon and here at home against Bordeaux last weekend.

Despite producing a first clean sheet at home for Nimes since last August, it would be a surprise if both teams don’t score tonight. The visitors have netted in each of their previous four league matches on the road, which included two goals at Nice and Monaco.

Christophe Pelissier’s side are just one of those teams who simply score and conceded in the majority of Ligue 1 matches this season. Les Merlus have scored 10 and conceded 10 in their last six league games, and a high scoring affair can be expected with so much at stake in a battle against relegation.

19:00 Barnsley v Stoke City: Both Teams To Score

There are several matches in the English Championship on Wednesday night and this clash between Barnsley and Stoke City at Oakwell looks intriguing with both sides level on 45 points at present. The Tykes have bounced back nicely from their FA Cup exit to Chelsea, with three straight league wins against Brentford, Blackburn and Bristol City.

A push towards a play-off spot is clearly achievable for both sides and a victory for either would give them another push towards the top six within a very tight table. Michael O’Neill’s side come into this game in decent form themselves following two straight home wins against Sheffield Wednesday and Luton.

However, their cutting edge on the road needs to improve having become draw specialists since late Novembe,r with seven away draws from nine matches. Barnsley have conceded in four of their last five home matches, while Stoke have managed to score in their last four away games. Charlton Morris and Nick Powell are the men to watch in a fixture at Oakwell, which has produced plenty of goals for both sides in recent seasons.

MORE TIPS:

19:45 Blackburn v Watford: Both Teams To Score

The former Premier League champions are lacking in confidence right now having lost their last four league matches. It’s been an awful February so far for Tony Mowbray’s side, who are hoping to avoid another defeat – which would be their worst five-game run in the second tier of English football since 1979.

Rovers have conceded in four of their last six league matches, and rely heavily on Adam Armstrong for goals. The 24-year-old has scored their last three goals and is currently the second highest scorer in the Championship this season with 19 netted.

This encounter at Ewood Park is also a massive game for Watford in their push for automatic promotion this season. Francisco Javier Munoz Llompart’s (or Xisco to his friends) side are level on points with Brentford and one point ahead of Swansea, with those rivals having the luxury of home fixtures on Wednesday night.

The Hornets come here in good form having won their last three matches and hit six goals past Bristol City at home earlier this month. The visitors will surely score against a team who have only managed two clean sheets in 11 home matches since last November.
