West Ham v West Brom, 6pm: BT Sport

Tuesday’s top-flight action kicks off with West Ham and West Brom locking horns at the London Stadium. Both come into this game on the back of crucial wins last weekend, with Sam Allardyce getting his first win against free-falling rivals Wolves while the Hammers edged past Burnley in a hard-fought 1-0 victory.

West Ham sit ninth on 29 points and have three victories on the bounce across all competitions. That said they are not free-scoring and there is a thin line between their last three 1-0 victories. David Moyes has a couple of problems at the minute – with the ongoing transfer saga involving star man Declan Rice and also a real lack of scoring options. Michail Antonio returned with a goal at the weekend but he seems to be injured more often than not and the last thing the 30-year-old needs right now is two games in quick succession. Sebastian Haller’s recent departure to Ajax was a surprise without a replacement being secured first.

Big Sam is looking to pull off yet another great escape and on last weekend’s showing it is possible. He’s now had time to work with his payers and that win should lift spirits in the camp. The Baggies are winless in nine Premier League meetings on West Ham’s turf but six of those games ended in a stalemate.

The fact West Ham are struggling to score and with two games in three days sure to test Michail Antonio’s availability I can see West Ham struggling to score against The Baggies. West Brom will be well organised and I can see them get something from the game. The bet is West Brom and the Draw (Double Chance).

Leicester v Chelsea , 8.15pm: Sky Sports

The main course on Tuesday sees Frank Lampard’s Chelsea travel to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester. Under Brendan Rodgers The Foxes can perhaps start dreaming of another historic Premier League title. Saturday’s win against injury-hit Southampton was Leicester’s third on the bounce in all competitions and means they are unbeaten in their last six. However, all is not perfect and it’s their home form that is cause for concern as they have only tasted victory in three of their last eight in the top-flight at the King Power. Another big concern is star man Jamie Vardy limping off against Southampton with a hip problem – something that has caused him trouble in the past.

Frank Lampard is under immense pressure but back-to-back wins must give him cause for optimism. The win against Fulham was nothing special but this game will suit his attacking side much better and he will expect to keep the run going. Chelsea also have a great record against The Foxes and have only suffered one defeat in their last 12 games across all competitions. N’Golo Kante and Reece James are back fit and Lampard appears to have finally realised that his defenders are not good enough to keep German International Antonio Rudiger on the bench.

With Chelsea having a full-strength squad to choose from and their excellent record against Leicester plus the injury concern about Jamie Vardy, I expect the visitors to sneak a victory in a low scoring game. The bet is Chelsea to Win.
