For Sunday’s European Acca we’re off to Italy for two Serie A matches where some of the league’s highest scoring teams are in action. Then we’re heading to France where the top two in Ligue 1 face each other before finally switching to Spain’s La Liga where Real Madrid can top the table with a win.
We should see plenty of goals in these matches but let’s look for some value as well.
Atalanta v Roma [5.00pm]: Roma to Score Over 1.5 Goals
Atalanta’s European excursions have distracted them from their Serie A performances this season, and they’ve not been as good at finishing teams off this season. So far they have five wins, three draws and three losses. However, there have been plenty of goals in their matches – 22 scored and 17 conceded. Roma have won seven, drawn three and lost two, scoring 27 and conceding 17.
The form is on Roma’s side here. The away side have won three of their last five on their league travels, drawing and losing one each. Atalanta have won two of their last five at home in the Serie A, losing two and drawing one. Four out of the last five meetings between the pair at the Stadio di Bergamo have seen both Overs and BTTS landing. Roma have scored at least twice in three out of their last four away matches and with Atalanta’s leaky defence we’re getting some decent odds on Roma to Score Over 1.5 Goals here.
Lazio v Napoli [7.45pm]: Napoli to Win
Neither of these sides have had the start they expected to the season and now that we’re about a third of the way into the campaign they need to really start doing better. Lazio’s home form is pretty bad. They’ve won just one of their last five, drawing two and losing two while Napoli have won three and lost two of their most recent Serie A away matches.
Napoli have beaten Lazio on four out of their last five visits to Rome and with them averaging 2.16 goals per game compared to Lazio’s 1.5, coupled with their better form compared to the Romans, we’re going with the away side here.
Lille v PSG [8.00pm]: Half Time Draw
Lille come into this match atop of Ligue 1, one point above PSG in second. Paris have lost four matches over their 15 so far this season while Lille have lost just one and were it not for having drawn a few too many, five in all, they’d be a fair bit ahead of the Parisians by now. Lille haven’t lost any of their last 10 home league matches and have only conceded four goals over those 10 matches.
PSG are quite obviously good on the road though, they’ve won five out of their last six on their league travels, keeping four clean sheets in the process. Three out of the last five meetings between the sides at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy have been level at halftime. Three out of Lille’s five most recent home league matches have also been level at halftime and it’s been level at HT in two of PSG’s four most previous away league matches. With both teams scoring 67.9 per cent and 60 per cent of their goals in the second half of matches we should be looking at a cagey start here and there’s good value in the First Half Draw price here.
Eibar vs Real Madrid [8.00pm]: BTTS – No
Eibar are nothing short of awful at home. They’ve scored one home goal so far this season. Real have just come through three tough matches with nine points to their name (beating Sevilla, Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao) and really aren’t facing much opposition here against a team that can barely get a goal at home. Madrid don’t keep many clean sheets and that’s why the odds are generous here but against this Eibar side they should be able to keep them scoreless.
