Football tips: Kane and Jesus to shine in this Spurs v Man City 43/1 Same Game Multi

Pep and Jose do battle on the touchline. What could possibly go wrong?

The international snooze fest is over for another few months and we’re back down to business in the Premier League where second play tenth in the headline clash on Saturday evening at 17:30 in north London.

Despite lying in mid-table Manchester City go into this game as odds-on favourites with all the bookies, but I am not sure there is value to be had in that price.

Both sides look to have major concerns about key positions on the pitch with injuries and suspensions. Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham are set to be without Giovani Lo Celso, Steven Bergwijn, Matt Doherty & Erik Lamela to name just a few, while Pep Guardiola’s City will be without Fernandinho and Sergio Aguero, and likely not be able to call on Benjamin Mendy, Nathan Ake or Raheem Sterling.

City will likely give chances to the midweek golden boys Ferran Torres and Phil Foden alongside Gabriel Jesus in attack while Harry Kane, Gareth Bale and Son Heung-min will lead the line for Spurs. Tottenham went into the international break with three wins on the bounce in the EPL, while Man City, although not in top form, are undefeated in 11 or their last 12 top-flight games but allowing too many draws along the way.

It’s been a mixed bag for results this season to date with upsets and funny results the order of the day, but I don’t think it would be a huge surprise to see Spurs take the three points on home soil.

Anytime goalscorer: Harry Kane

Anytime goalscorer: Gabriel Jesus

Kane and Son have 15 goals between them this season while City’s leading marksmen have a lowly goal tally of just two, with Sterling, Foden and Jesus all sharing top-spot.

City have kept just two clean sheets all season and will be easy targets for the in-form Spurs attacking trio and a back four of Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte and Joao Cancelo can be found wanting.

He didn’t get one for England, but I can see Kane making up for that here.

I fancy Jesus to step up for City and get a goal for the visitors too. They’ll need him to put in a top display with some many other injuries across the side.

MORE TIPS

* Bruno Fernandes the key for Man Utd in this 14/1 Same Game Multi for West Brom clash

To be booked: Rodrigo

In City’s midfield, Rodrigo will sit in the centre of the park and hold to ensure the attacking prowess of Spurs is stunted where possible. He has picked up two cards this season to date and will not be far away here in this game from his third.

Home total corners: Over 3.5

I’m expecting Spurs to do most of the attacking in this game, and expect them to bag 4 or more match corners in the 90 minutes.
