Spain take on Germany on Tuesday night in a match that will decide who wins Group Four in League A of the Nations League. It’s been close over the campaign, with both teams winning two of their matches – Germany have drawn three to Spain’s two and Spain have lost one while Germany haven’t.

Germany have been in ripe goal-scoring form. Spain not so much, but they’ve been stingy at the back conceding few goals. Who will be the winner? We’ve gone over all the stats, trends and form here to find the three best bets. Read on to find out what we’re backing.

Match Odds: The Draw

Spain haven’t been their usual dominant self over the last two seasons. 2019 started well with a few wins but then two visits to Scandinavia ended in draws. Since then over their nine matches they’ve won only four, drawing four and losing one. Their home form is great though as they’ve lost only one home match since the World Cup in Russia, winning all nine others.

Germany come into the match in pretty good form, losing just one of their last 13 – winning seven and drawing six.

On the road things have been good too, as they’ve won five out of their last six and drew the other one.

With both teams in good home vs away form there’s very little to choose between the sides. Their previous two meetings both ended 1-1 and we like the look of the draw price on offer here.

Over 3.5 Goals

As mentioned earlier, Spain haven’t exactly been in the most robust goal-scoring form over their Nations League campaign. Seven for and three against over their five matches but they have been pretty good in their home matches over the last year or so. Over all of their seven matches since the start of 2019, they’ve scored more than two goals in six matches, six of those matches saw Over 2.5 goals and four of them saw Over 3.5 goals.

Germany have scored seven and conceded three over their five matches in the Nations League. They’ve scored at least two goals in five out of their last six matches on the road and with both teams going for the top position here we should see plenty of goals. Over 2.5 goals is at a decent price too but those scoring stats means we’re getting decent value on Over 3.5 here – so that’s what we’re going with.

Spain v Germany: Correct Score 2-2

We’ve made a case for the Draw and Overs in both of the picks above and the stats look great for both teams to get on the scoresheet at least twice. The current odds for 1-1 are the shortest but after going through all the available stats for both teams we can’t help be swayed into thinking that there’s going to be more to this match than a 1-1. Both teams are in good goal-scoring form and Spain need to win while a draw will do for Germany so we should see plenty of goals and that’s why we’re going with 2-2 here.
