Championship clashes: Tuck into this 5/1 double on Saturday’s games

The Championship has been unmissable all season and we’ve got two fixtures you should be eyeing up....

Norwich v Millwall: Norwich to win – 4/5

The Carrow Road team have become a harrowing sight for opponents in recent times as they’ve ploughed through challengers after a rocky start to the season.

The Canaries have soared to second in the division despite just one win in their opening six outings, a run that saw their German manager Daniel Farke having to explain just what the Farke was going on in East Anglia.

But eight wins in their last ten league games have flipped things upside-down. The turnaround’s been built on defensive resolution, as they’ve conceded just five goals in those games. Centre back Timm Klose is expected to overcome a knock for Saturday, which should help them keep up that stingy streak, while striker Jordan Rhodes also returns to provide an attacking threat.

Millwall aren’t the most prolific travellers in any case. They’ve netted just four times in eight away league games this season.

Unsurprisingly, that striking shyness has seen them secure just a pair of points away from The Den this campaign, and we would expect that trend to continue this Saturday afternoon.

Back Norwich to win at 4/5.

West Brom v Leeds United – 12/5

Despite their somewhat iffy form of late, West Brom could well be the biggest test of the Marcelo Bielsa revolution at Leeds United.

The Whites current sit on the summit of a Championship table with teams folded up like an accordion, such it’s the stacked nature of a division with 11 clubs within seven points of the top.

Bielsa’s boys arrive at The Hawthorns looking to pile misery on their hosts, who have only managed a single point in their last four outings. However, Leeds will need to be wary of a wounded beast with a hell of a sting in its tail.

The Baggies have scored more goals than anyone else in the Championship and they welcome back from injury one of the league’s hottest strikers in Dwight Gayle for Saturday evening’s kick-off. He’s not alone either, as experienced duo Gareth Barry and Kieran Gibbs return to the fold for West Brom as well.

We foresee these two Championship heavyweights cancelling each other out on this one, and 12/5 is too tasty a price for us to turn down.
