Wenger to hit the canvas in the North London derby
It has been a busy few weeks for these massive rivals. Arsenal fans have been breaking the internet, and sending social media into a meltdown, while Tottenham are buckling down for a last minute title charge.
Mauricio Pochettino’s next bout is the North London derby. It could edge Spurs closer to the top spot, or offer Wenger the chance to salvage top four, and with it his Arsenal career.
Arsene’s on the ropes
So far this season, Poch’s right hooks have been knockout. With 9 wins in his last 10 league matches, he’s been hitting harder than Anthony Joshua after a few cans of spinach. They have already tasted victory over Chelsea, Everton, and Manchester City so far this campaign. Not only that, but they’ve netted nine times in their last three league games.
Meanwhile, the Arsenal boss has suffered bitter defeats against Crystal Palace, West Brom and Watford, though he heads into the game buoyed by his side’s FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester City.
And the new heavyweight champion is…
The last three meetings between these two hard-hitters have finished in a draw, which is 12/5 to be repeated on Sunday, though you have to go back to January to see the last time Spurs drew a game in the league.
Each of the last three meetings at White Hart Lane in all competitions have featured at least three goals. This could make Tottenham to win and over 2.5 goals a good shout here at 8/5. A result that could leave fans chorusing “Sweet Caroline” in no time.
