An 11/1 shot heads our three best bets on Man United v Chelsea

Title and Champions League issues are up for discussion at Old Trafford on Sunday…

Comments

Draw with both teams to score – 16/5

To say Manchester United’s recent record against Chelsea is poor would be a massive understatement, horrific is probably the best way to describe it.

The Red Devils have been feeling the ‘blues’ against the London outfit for five years now and are without a win against Chelsea since all the way back in 2012.

However, even though Antonio Conte has beaten United in his only two games against them as Blues manager, the Italian will be acutely aware Chelsea have managed one victory in their last 10 visits to Old Trafford.

With United being the draw specialists of the Premier League this season and the pair battling to a stalemate on their last three meetings at the home of The Red Devils, we’re tipping a fourth level finish in-a-row in this fixture with both teams scoring at 16/5.

N’Golo Kanté to score anytime – 11/1

Former Leicester man N’Golo Kanté is not only on course for his second Premier League title on the spin, but he’s also the runaway favourite to be named PFA Player of the Year.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho must also be sick of the sight of the Frenchman, given that he’s scored in both games the sides have contested this season.

Amazingly, those strikes remain his only ones for Chelsea in his career at Stamford Bridge to date, so he must be bulling for another crack that the men clad in red.

He’s never been a prolific during his time in England – thus his 11/1 price for an anytime goal – but Kanté’s record against United sure does make him a tempting bet to find the net on Sunday.

Under 2.5 goals in the game – 8/11

Although this game has been billed as a heavyweight contest of late, it seems like only flyweight punches have been landed by both sides on the score board.

In the last six games the duo have fought out, only 10 goals have been registered and The Red Devils have only managed to grab two of those.

That’s an average of only 1.67 goals per game when they duke it out, so don’t expect a goal fest.

It’s 8/11 for there to be under 2.5 goals in the match and they’ve failed to hit that mark in five out of the last six games we’ve highlighted above. This punt may just be a knockout blow you need come Sunday.
