Arsenal host Liverpool on Wednesday night as they look to continue their impressive five-match winning run in the Premier League.
But they won’t have it all their own way, with the visitors out to close the gap on leaders Man City to one point after Pep Guardiola’s team drew 0-0 at Crystal Palace on Monday.

However, that will be a difficult task against a rejuvenated Arsenal side that has stolen a march in the race for fourth in recent weeks. They have won each of their last five games to leapfrog Manchester United into fourth despite playing three games fewer, although those three games are against Liverpool, Tottenham, and Chelsea.
In the early days of the season, those three games probably would have resulted in three defeats for Arsenal, but they are a different animal now and will feel that they can put it up to anyone – incuding the rampant Reds.

Arsenal v Liverpool, Wednesday 17th March, 8.15pm
TV: Sky Sports Premier League
The Draw
Only Liverpool have taken more points than Arsenal in their last six league games, taking 18 points to Arsenal’s 16. Jurgen Klopp’s side have won their last eight games in the league in a fruitful spell that has also seen them win the League Cup and qualify for the last-eight of both the Champions League and FA Cup.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have taken 28 points from their last available 33, and will look to avenge their League Cup semi-final defeat. Something has got to give on Wednesday night.
Both teams to score
Liverpool have rediscovered their defensive solidity since the turn of the year, which has been key to their revival in the title race. Klopp’s side have conceded just two goals in the league since their 2-2 draw with Chelsea on January 2, a run of six clean sheets in eight games.
However, they have also had a significant amount of luck on their side during that run. Burnley and West Ham were both desperately unlucky not to breach the Liverpool defence in their respective 1-0 defeats, while Crystal Palace were also unfortunate not to score more than once in their 3-1 defeat.
Arsenal have failed to score in just one of their last 14 league games and will pose a much sterner challenge than any Liverpool have faced since they travelled to Stamford Bridge at the beginning of the year. At the other end, Arsenal have managed just one clean sheet in their last four games and face the most clinical team in the league. It is difficult to see them keeping Liverpool out.

Mohamed Salah to score anytime
Mohamed Salah scored once during Liverpool’s 4-0 thrashing of Arsenal at Anfield earlier in the season, continuing his streak of scoring against the Gunners in every Premier League season since he signed for Liverpool in 2017. Salah has scored eight Premier League goals against Arsenal, with seven coming for Liverpool and one coming for Chelsea – they are one of his favourite opponents.
With an impressive 20 goals to his name, the Egyptian forward looks a shoo-in for the Premier League golden boot, currently enjoying an eight-goal lead over Cristiano Ronaldo and clubmates Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota. He is by far the most likely player to find the back of the net on Wednesday.

Andy Robertson anytime assist
Only Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold have recorded more assists in the league than Andy Robertson this season. The Scottish left back has a hugely impressive nine assists to his name in the league and 12 in all competitions.
Robertson has now gone four games without setting up one of his teammates but registered six assists in his previous seven games. Eight of Robertson’s 12 assists this season have also come away from home.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see Robertson claim a 10th league assist at the Emirates.
