Watford’s 4-1 win over Manchester United back in November signaled the end of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign at Old Trafford and the two teams meet again at 3pm this Saturday. Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson is back to weigh up whether The Hornets can sting the Red Devils again.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
Watford are deep in the relegation mire while Thommo thinks United are improving as they look to secure a top four place. Can lightening strike twice? Here’s Thommo’s Manchester United v Watford tips.
Saturday 3pm: Manchester United v Watford
Manchester United are feeling a little bit more confident at the moment, they had a good win against Leeds last week in the swimming pool that was Elland Road! They’re unbeaten in seven in the Premier League now.
The question marks are still there with Ralf Rangnick and his team but they seem to be getting better. Sometimes it starts with a few baby steps, these runs that they’re on. Making sure they finish in that top four is massive for them.
Watford, you thought they’d turned it round and that they might be about to go on one of those runs that we see. They beat Aston Villa 1-0 and then they go and lose against Crystal Palace in midweek, 4-1.
I can’t see anything other than a Manchester United win. I am going to go for a comfortable 3-0 win for Manchester United. I think Jadon Sancho is coming of age in this side. I think there’s going to be three goals and I’ve got Jadon Sancho to Score Anytime.
