An Arsenal win puts them right on the cusp of the top four here, but the majority know it’s not a squad that can have sustained success, and perhaps more importantly, it’s one that’s being led by someone who hasn’t really proven to be anything other than an overhyped Pep disciple. So far.

Does that set us up for a stinker against an Everton side who are in dire form? Some might suggest so, but with both of these teams’ ability to implode at any given moment, don’t count on anything dull. Let’s get into our Bet Builder for the Monday Night Football.

Arsenal to Win

The one thing I will say about Arsenal is they’ve developed a desire to not draw games. It’s one my main pet peeves with most sides in football – the difference between a draw and a win is larger than the gap between a loss and a draw. You’re twice better off to try and win games than settling to draw.

Their first six games of the season produced no draws, and the last six have been the same. As for the opposition preventing them from turning this into a win? Everton might be at their lowest ebb. It’s clear the Benitez experiment hasn’t worked and there just needs to be a definitive moment.

Psychologically, the players are waiting for a managerial sacking and in those circumstances rarely ever pick up results. Same again here.

Over 3.5 Goals

Without stating the obvious, both sides are coming off five-goals games where they attacked as much as they invited pressure and that appears to be the mantra now, at least for the foreseeable.

Everton are porous when they go forward and lose the ball, which is ironic given Rafa’s historical tie-in with defensive structure, and Arsenal’s inability to defend players who can dribble or set pieces means they’re always liable to ship.

Both sides’ last games in the competition are golden examples and where they’re weakest – it just so happens that this is a nightmare matchup in both of those regards.

Half-Time: Arsenal

In the last five games in which they’ve conceded in the league, Everton have conceded in the first half – and generally early in the first half. That sets a tone and means they’ve to come forward. It not only ties into the above selection, but also will be greeted by another max exodus from Everton fans like in the Merseyside derby.

Martin Odegaard to Score Anytime

Watch Jordan Henderson’s goal back. When a side maintains their width against Everton, they generally focus all of their energy getting two-v-ones in wide areas to stop the cross, and failing that, throwing all of their midfielders into the box to ensure teams have to work through them in central areas. The downside to this is it’s highly common for players to be totally unmarked on the edge of the 18-yard box.
