16:00 Lille v Marseille: Over 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport ESPN

Lille’s title defence isn’t going the way they’d envisioned at the beginning of the campaign. So far they’ve won just three of their eight league games and over their five most recent games in all competitions they’ve won two, drawn one and lost two.

Marseille’s season is going a little better, they’ve won four, drawn two and lost one. Indeed that one loss is their only loss over all of their nine competitive games this season. Meanwhile, Lille have only won four of their 11 games in total.

Both teams are in decent goal-scoring form though, Lille have 11 over their eight league fixtures and Marseille have netted 14 over seven games played. Lille’s defence has conceded 14 to Marseille’s eight. With those stats goals should be on the menu here.

16:30 Liverpool v Man City: Both Teams To Score in the Second Half

TV: Sky Sports Premier League

Over the last seven encounters between Liverpool and City at Anfield, the home side have won five with one ending level and City took the most recent match. However, in the five most recent meetings at both grounds, City have won three.

Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals was seen in four of those five matches. In the other seven, Both Teams To Score landed in just three, Overs in five.

Of course, the hype is massive around this match, but at the very least it’s an opportunity to make a statement of intent. Liverpool are in the better form with seven wins over their nine games, drawing the other two. City have played 10 competitive matches, they’ve won six, drawn one and lost three.

Over their 12 combined Premier League matches, they’ve scored 27 goals between them, 16 in the second half of games. Liverpool have scored 67% of their goals in the second period of matches this season, while City have scored 58% of theirs after half-time.

17:00 Fiorentina v Napoli: Both Teams To Score No Draw

TV: BT Sport 3

Fiorentina have won four and lost two in the Serie A so far, while Napoli have won all six of their league encounters. They’ll be confident of grabbing the three points here too, having beaten Fiorentina in four out of their last six matches.

Napoli have also kept four clean sheets in the league, however they did concede three to Spartak Moscow in their Europa League loss midweek and Fiorentina have scored in all of their seven competitive games thus far. Napoli should keep their domestic win streak going, but Fiorentina are no pushovers and are good enough to cause a shock here. Both Teams To Score No Draw has the best value.

19:45 Atalanta v AC Milan: Both Teams To Score No Draw

TV: BT Sport 1

Atalanta’s league form with three wins from six isn’t the best, but over their last six games in all competitions they’ve only lost one, winning three and drawing two. Milan are still unbeaten in the Serie A, winning five games. Over their last five in all competitions though, they’ve only won two, drawing one and losing two.

In fairness, there’s no shame in drawing with Juventus and losing to Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, so let’s not be too harsh. It’s hard not to see both teams scoring here: Atalanta have scored eight over their six in the league, while Milan have 12 over their six. With just three games of their combined 12 to date ending in a draw, we’re likely to see a winner here.

21:00 River Plate v Boca Juniors: Both Teams to Score

Second-placed River Plate currently sit just two points behind leaders Talleres de Cordoba. Boca are in sixth position, six points behind River. Over recent seasons Boca have won two of the last five encounters at the Estadio Antonio Vespucio Liberti, River have succeeded in one and two ended level (with River winning one in extra-time).

Both outfits come into this game in good form, River have won four of their last five, while on home soil they’ve won three of their last five, drawing one and losing one. Boca have won three of their last five, while away from home they’ve won three, drawn one and lost one.

In the league, River have been in mighty form in front of goal, scoring 26 over their 13 games, conceding 10 at the other end. Boca Juniors have scored 11 and conceded eight. We should be in for a great game here, River have only lost once at home this season and Boca have only lost one of their last 10 overall games.

It’s tough to pick a winner, on the balance of form River hold the upper hand but Boca have been improving after a patchy start to their season. With both teams in robust goal-scoring form, Both Teams To Score has to be the pick here.
