Premier League tips: Lock in Sunday's mega 39/1 2pm kick-off treble

We have a Premier League triple-header to get stuck into on Sunday afternoon with six sides all in action in 2pm kick-offs across London. In the live TV game, Crystal Palace host Leicester at Selhurst Park, while elsewhere in the capital West Ham host Brentford in an east v west derby.

The other 2pm kick-off takes us to North London where out-of-sorts Tottenham host an Aston Villa side who won at Manchester United last weekend. Let’s get down to business with our tasty treble…

Crystal Palace vs Leicester

Draw

It has not been an ideal start to the season for a Leicester side that has narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification in each of the last two seasons. The Foxes have lost three of their opening six games and have unconvincingly beaten Wolves and Norwich, while they stuttered to a draw with Burnley last time out.

It feels like the Champions League ship has now sailed for Leicester who face a widening chasm between themselves and the top four of Chelsea, Liverpool, and both Manchester clubs. To add insult to injury, their Europa League campaign has not gone to plan, and they now must travel back from Poland ahead of Sunday’s clash with Palace having failed to win either of their two opening group games.

They face a Palace side that also finds itself in a relegation battle at this early stage of the season. Palace, however, have shown some positive signs, especially in their 3-0 demolition of Spurs at Selhurst Park and their credible 2-2 draw at West Ham.

They were easily swept aside by both Liverpool and Chelsea and agonisingly drew with arch-rivals Brighton last time out, but they have shown more than enough to suggest that they are capable of holding a struggling Leicester.

Tottenham vs Aston Villa

Aston Villa to win

Tottenham’s season has come crashing down to earth after a promising start that saw them win three games without conceding a goal. Nuno Espirito Santo has justifiably come under fire for his negative approach, especially in the chastising defeat against Crystal Palace when they registered just two shots and one shot on target in 90 minutes at Selhurst Park.

It is now three league defeats in a row for Spurs as their Premier League challenge goes up in smoke at an unusually early stage of the season, even for Tottenham.

Villa, on the other hand, have shown promising signs in the post-Jack Grealish era. They were unfortunate to lose at Stamford Bridge lasty month, and recorded fully deserved wins over Manchester United and Everton since.

Dean Smith has built an extremely capable squad and could record a second league win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in five months on Sunday.

West Ham v Brentford

West Ham to win & both teams to score

Many predicted that West Ham would struggle this season due to the added weight of a Europa League campaign, but those doubts have proved baseless. The Hammers are just two points off the top four after six games and would be even closer had Mark Noble dispatched a last-minute penalty against Manchester United for a 2-2 draw a fortnight ago.

However, they came up trumps in injury time last time out, scoring late on against Leeds to snap a three-game winless streak. They have performed credibly in Europe and should navigate their way through the Europa League group stage without too much fuss, but they also boast a worrying defensive record after six games – conceding eight goals in their opening half-dozen matches.

Brentford, meanwhile, have performed commendably so far this season and have been the most impressive newly-promoted club. Their thrilling draw with Liverpool last weekend showcased their ability to mix it with the big boys and they will represent a difficult challenge for West Ham at the weekend.

Moyes’s side are yet to keep a home clean sheet and will likely have to score twice if they are to break down a stubborn Brentford defence that has conceded just five goals in their opening six league games.
