Neither side come into this one in the best of shape. Atlanta have only won one of their last five matches, while LA have lost three and drawn two of their last five. Atlanta’s home form is worse though, they’ve won none of their last five on home turf, drawing three and losing two. For their part, LA have won two and lost three of their last five on their MLS excursions.
Atlanta haven’t scored in any of their last three games at home but fortunately have actually scored seven over their three most recent matches. LA are in good goal-scoring form too, scoring six over their last four, two of which were away games. Both teams have a combined total of 14 draws over their 36 league games and neither side is really good enough to beat the other.
Sunday 23:00 Chicago Fire v Columbus Crew: Chicago Fire To Win
As above, neither of these sides will be anticipating this game either. Both sides have only won one of their last five MLS games, Chicago have, at least, drawn three and only lost one, while Columbus drew one and lost three. At home, Chicago have won two, drawn two and lost one. On the flip side, Columbus have won one, drawn two and lost two.
Chicago have won two of the last five meetings at Soldier Field with the other three all ending level, with Both Teams To Score landing in three of those games and Over 2.5 goals in just two. Chicago are averaging 1.67 goals per home game, Columbus are scoring just 0.67. Columbus have also lost all three of their most recent games, so we have to hand it to Chicago Fire here.
Monday 00:00 Nashville v DC United: Nashville To Win And Over 2.5 Goals
Nashville top the Home/Away table with six wins and five draws over their 11 home games, scoring 22 and conceding 10. DC United have won just two of their 10 games on the road this season – drawing three and losing five, scoring 13 and conceding 16. DC’s away form isn’t great with just one win over their last five. However, their most recent form has seen them winning three and drawing two, scoring nine and conceding five.
Nashville have netted 12 over their five most recent at home and, while they’ve kept five clean sheets over their 11 home games, DC have scored in seven of their 10 away games this season. Over 2.5 Goals has landed in three of Nashville’s five most recent home games and in four of DC’s five away games. Our money is going on the home side to win and the Overs here.
Monday 03:00 Portland Timbers v Seattle Sounders: Both Teams To Score
Portland Timbers are in robust home form, winning three of their last five at Providence Park, drawing one and losing one. Seattle share the same record over their recent away games. They both hold the same recent overall form too – two wins, one draw and two losses.
Results have been pretty even in recent head-to-head games here, with the home side winning two and Seattle taking three of their last five clashes. Both are scoring plenty of goals this season, with Portland averaging 1.67 at home so far this campaign with Seattle averaging 1.14. The Timbers should edge it, but it’s too close to call and we’re playing it safe here.
