For Tuesday night’s European football we’ll be taking a look at a couple of matches from the Bundesliga where the top two will be in action. RB Leipzig are away to FC Koln and need to win to keep the pressure on league leaders Bayern Munich who will be at home to Bayer Leverkusen.

We’ll also be taking a gander at Verona v Fiorentina, where the away side could be in massive trouble if they don’t take the three points. Finally to Portugal, where fifth-placed Pacos Ferreira are looking to cement their place in European football next season, but they face a Farense side who are desperately fighting for Primeira Liga survival. Let’s have a look at where we’ve found some value.

17:30 FC Koln v RB Leipzig: Leipzig to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

Seven points separate RB Leipzig from Bayern Munich at the top of the table and with games running out, they simply cannot afford to get anything less than a win here. The market has them as massive favourites too, and they are taking on a Koln team who have now gone nine matches without a win.

Koln’s home record has seen them winning just one of their last five, drawing two and losing two. They’re usually good for a goal though, and have scored eight over those five matches. Leipzig have won all five of their most recent away matches, scoring 14 and conceding just one. While that’s a great record of clean sheets for Leipzig, over their three visits to Koln over recent seasons they haven’t kept a clean sheets at the RheinEnergieStadion.

Four out of five recent home Koln matches have seen Over 2.5 goals occurring and it’s also landed in all five of Leipzig’s away matches. The Bulls should win here against a team in bad form, but goals are on the menu.

19:30 Bayern Munich v Bayer Leverkusen: Bayern to Win & Both Teams To Score

Leverkusen recorded a famous win against Bayern in their last visit to Bavaria, but it was just their second win over their last 10 attempts there. Bayern have won all eight of their other encounters there. It’s worth mentioning too that that loss to Leverkusen back in November 2019 was the last time Bayern lost a home league match, a run of 24 matches without defeat.

They’re obviously short-odds favourites here and face a Leverkusen side who have been struggling for goals on the road of late. Over their last six away Bundesliga matches they’ve only scored two goals.

However, their overall form has improved, and they’ve scored five over their last three matches. Bayern have only kept one clean sheet over their last 11 home league matches and the odds on Bayern to Win and Both Teams To Score are too good to refuse here.

19:45 Verona v Fiorentina: Fiorentina to Win

Both teams come into this match in pretty bad form, Verona have lost four of their last five (winning one), while Fiorentina have also won just one of their last five, drawing one and losing three. The home side have also won just one of their five most recent at home, drawing one and losing three. Fiorentina share the same record on their recent Serie A travels.

Five points separate Fiorentina from the relegation zone and their form suggests they’re going to be dragged into the dogfight if they cannot get a win here. Their best hope is that they’ve been scoring plenty on the road of late, finding the back of the net 12 times over their last five on the road. Meanwhile, Verona have only netted three goals over their five most previous home matches.

The away side have triumphed at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi on four out of five recent visits and that trend should continue against a team who haven’t been scoring of late.

20:00 Pacos Ferreira v Farense: Pacos Ferreira to Win

Pacos Ferreira have had a very good season and with just seven games to go, including this match, they can take an important step towards European football next season with a win here. The home side are having a bit of a wobble, they’ve won just one of their last five league matches. However, their form at the Capital do Móvel Municipal Stadium has seen them win four of their last six, drawing and losing one.

Farense are in massive trouble and are currently five points away from safety and cannot afford to lose any more matches. However, they’ve won just one of their last five away matches and against that home record of Ferreira’s we can only see a home win here.

19:30 Bayern Munich v Bayer Leverkusen: Bayern to Win & Both Teams To Score
