Paddy’s Ambassador Phil Thompson clashes with Paddy’s top football trader Jason Murphy yet again as the pair preview the big game this weekend – the North London Derby between Arsenal and Spurs. PPTV’s Rob Catterson asks the questions here, for what should be a mouth-watering game.

You look at what Spurs are doing at the moment, they scored 13 goals in their last four games. Arsenal have only won two out of their last seven. The difference between the players at the moment is fascinating. He has to play Lucas Moura and Harry Kane here as a four alongside Gareth Bale and Heung-min Son. The last time they played Arsenal, the Gunners were in better form on that occasion going into it.

But there’s a lot more confidence in this Spurs side at the moment compared to then.

Sunday 4.30pm: Arsenal v Spurs
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

I think there will be plenty of goals in this game. I’m going against Jason here and for a 3-2 scoreline to Spurs. I’ve got Harry Kane down here as a possible goalscorer in this one, as he always seems to play well against Arsenal.

As my correct scoreline would suggest, I’m also going for Both Teams to Score here too.

I think Spurs will start quicker and I’ve gone for Gareth Bale to score anytime and I’ve also thrown in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to grab one for Arsenal also. The latter seems to be coming back into form as well.

If you look at the game from earlier in the season when these two sides clashed, Spurs were at home and had 2,000 fans there. Spurs went off 6/5 on that occasion. However this time at the Emirates there won’t be any fans, therefore we’ve treated it as pretty much being the same for each team. The market reflects that.

The teams are in sixth and seventh in the league, so there’s not a lot to split them going in here. My bet however is going to be Spurs to win. We will wait and see the line-ups, but if it has that standard look of a front three including Kane, Son and Bale look, I will be all over Tottenham.

On the correct score front, 2-0 is the bet for me here. I would love to have a bet on Gareth Bale for a goal, however, the negative would be that he’s been substituted with roughly 20 minutes to go on the last few occasions and for that reason I’ll swerve him.

Harry Kane will do for me as an anytime goalscorer. He’s scored the most goals in the North London derby. It’s a bet that has clicked plenty of times over the years and can come good again.
