Leicester are that child you feel the need to discipline even though they’re doing nothing wrong, because you know what they’re capable of if they just applied themselves slightly more. Their loss to Leeds signalled the first time they’ve scored first and dropped points all season – Leeds, who are effectively a less-advanced, yet equally peculiar entity as the Foxes themselves.
But Leicester’s quest to land a second Premier League title and somehow solidify the very idea they even really won the first in people’s minds is now a lost cause as Manchester City may never drop another point between now and the end of time. That doesn’t mean that finishing ahead of Liverpool wouldn’t be an achievement in itself, or in fact every other misfiring ‘big’ club in the league, so they’ll carry on and hope that someone locks Ruben Dias in a cupboard.

Wolves? Well, their season is over and despite a 2-1 win over Arsenal – their first win in nine and their first since a pair of wins over Chelsea, and you guessed it – Arsenal. What a season we’re truly experiencing.
This should be one-sided, but will it? Let’s take a look at three shrewd punts that could have you appearing the crafty fox rather than the lone wolf.
Safe Bet: Leicester to Win
One team needs to win, and the other is coming to terms with the fact that they’re playing for nothing. That level of disparity in intensity levels usually means the first half will be lopsided, and Leicester have found the net in four of their last five first halves in the Premier League.
Flying out of the blocks has been their modus operandi under Brendan Rodgers and that blueprint has already gotten them this far. And for all that Wolves are struggling to find the net, they’re far from defensive-minded – they’re more a team struggling to find the balance and the overperformance that last year really signified.
This Leicester Win should be done and dusted by the half-time oranges.
Value Punt: Penalty Scored
Wolves are penalty magnets. There’s been five penalties awarded in their last six Premier League games, and while of course we’re relying on the penalty being scored, I still maintain that at the rate they’re featuring and the recklessness that Wolves play with in their own box, it’s a shout.
Not to mention that Wolves’ only real strength in the final third is the quick-footed nature of their wingers, who’ve brought a fair share of excessive force in their direction by design.
Long Shot: Harvey Barnes to Score Two or More
I’m not being funny, but Harvey Barnes may have been the best player in the Premier League over the last month. Yes, everyone will point to James Maddison for his contributions and nicer hair, but Barnes is going to be the surprise signing that a bigger club makes this summer.
I think we’re all going to be going back watching him play in three years’ time wondering why Leicester didn’t make him central to their plans going forward. Maddison might make them tick, but Barnes ensures they’re producing at the right moments. Harvey Barnes to Score Two or More could be a fruitful long shot bet here.
