Phil Thompson: My deadly double for Palace v Spurs & Fulham v Liverpool

I have a lovely Sunday double and it fared me well last week. I’m going for the same two teams, and you’ve heard me before, I’m going to go for Spurs and Liverpool both to Win. That’s my Sunday double.

2.15pm: Crystal Palace v Tottenham

I don’t think Jose Mourinho will be looking ahead to the Liverpool game on Wednesday. I think their focus will be purely on this game because they’ll know Liverpool are in a similar position, they both play on the on the same day and then they’re gonna be performing again on the Wednesday.

So I think Mourinho will want to get points in the bank. I don’t think he will want to be looking too far ahead at the moment. Do I think it will continue? I’m not so sure.

Sunday 2.15pm: Crystal Palace v Tottenham
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

This defending very, very deep, getting away with it, getting the clean sheets. While you’re winning everybody accepts all that. When the results start to change that’s when it might become quite difficult for Mourinho and his team.

Palace, I know they’ve changed things. They’ve only kept one clean sheet in 19 games. They won 5-1 last week against West Brom, but I do fancy Spurs for this one.

THOMMO’S TIPS: I fancy Spurs to win this one 3-1. I think the deadly duo, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min will score. I think they’ll get one apiece. Palace are not great. They do concede lots of goals, so I would imagine they will make hay.

4.30pm: Fulham v Liverpool

Liverpool have been playing really well, I think. They’ve done some good stuff but we’re seven points worse off from what we were last year. Fantastic win last time.

You watched the game against Wolves and it was top class against a good Wolves outfit. I would think Liverpool should win this and they will be comfortable.

Sunday 4.30pm: Fulham v Liverpool
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Fulham always turn it on when Liverpool come to town. They will be up for it, But I just think, they’ve lost eight of their 11 games. They’ve conceded 21 and there’s only West Brom who have conceded more with 23.

THOMMO’S TIPS: So, as you can see, I’m painting that sort of a picture. It might be a bit close early on, but I’m going for Liverpool to win this 3-1. You can see where I’m coming from with this and I’ve got Mo Salah to score a double.
