Aston Villa make the short trip to face Midlands rivals Wolves in Saturday’s early kickoff and Paddy’s football ambassador Phil Thompson is on hand to guide us through it. A man familiar with a feisty local derby, Thommo has played a neat one-two with PPTV to deliver you his best bets for the game.
12.30pm: Wolves v Aston Villa
I think it’s a great weekend for football, there’s some really good matches. This one’s intriguing because it is a derby match and I think Wolves had a bit of a warning last week.
You don’t expect this Wolverhampton Wanderers side that we know and love to get beat in the way that they did (4-0 at Liverpool). They’re unbeaten in four Premier League games at home lately and they’ve lost just five of their last 32 Premier League matches.

BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate
They’re a good home team but are without Raul Jimenez obviously with that skull fracture which is not too good. Villa, they were going to be the new Leicester!
It’s their best tally at this stage for a Premier League season. The game against Newcastle was called off last week so are they going to be a bit rusty or are they going to be fresh? I’m not really sure.
But, Villa do have two games in hand over a lot of teams so they could move up from their position in the league a lot.
THOMMO’S TIPS: I’m going for Wolves to win this one 2-0. In terms of a goal scorer I’m going for Daniel Podence to Score Anytime. I do like him, I think he’s a very good player. Him and Pedro Neto seem to be filling the void left by Diogo Jota and I think Podence will score one of the two.
These two selections in a Paddy Power double pays at 29/1.
