Paddy’s football ambassador Phil Thompson has pulled on the armband to lead us through a potentially tricky looking tie as West Brom head north to face Newcastle. He’s offered up a correct score and goal scorer tip as well as his treble for Saturday’s Premier League action with the good guys and girls at PPTV.
3pm: Newcastle v West Brom
I’ve been looking in the press and on TV and it looks as though this will go ahead, Newcastle did train yesterday. The players will be keeping themselves fit, so I would imagine that they will be ready. By all accounts, it will go ahead.
It will be fascinating for Newcastle playing West Brom who are down in 19th place.
Saturday 3pm: Newcastle v West Brom
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Newcastle, in the last five games, have lost, won, lost, won, lost. There’s a trend!
So, I am going to tip them to win and it’s against West Brom who, I know they were down to 10 men last week, but shipped five goals against Crystal Palace which was poor. If Christian Benteke scores two against you, it means you’re not very good defensively!
THOMMO’S TIP: I am going to go for a home win for Newcastle, although they’ve had a couple of weeks off. I do think they will be fresh and I’m going to go 2-0 to Newcastle with Callum Wilson to Score Anytime.
These two selections in a Paddy Power double will give you odds of around 17/1
Thommo’s treble
My treble is Wolves, Newcastle and Chelsea to Win. That’s a nice treble for everybody and that would be a very good bet.
