Paddy’s football ambassador Phil Thompson is tipping Merseyside to reign supreme this weekend as Liverpool head to Brighton and Everton take on Leeds.
The proud Scouser has tipped both halves of Liverpool to triumph and he’s also thrown up a few goal scorers to consider this Saturday in the Premier League.

I do fancy Liverpool in this one down on the south coast. It’s a nice big pitch and I think Jurgen Klopp has rested his players and Brighton have probably gone ‘that’s all we needed, Liverpool to lose in midweek – now they’re going to be angry’. Atalanta have gone and poked the bear!
Brighton hadn’t won in in seven, up to the Villa game, But they’ve had the most shots in the league, other than Liverpool and Spurs.
They’ve had more shots on goal than anybody, so they’re doing something right. They’ve maybe not scored as many goals as they would like, but the win at Villa last time out was more than welcome.

But I do fancy Liverpool because Mo Salah’s back. They will probably go with the four amigos. I think he’ll play them all. So, Roberto Firmino, Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota, I fancy them all to play.
Will we see the great, great lesser-spotted Tiago? We’re all wondering what has happened to him? This might be a nice time for him to come back and control that midfield.
THOMMO’S TIPS: I would think this is a decent game because they because they can be quite open, Brighton, but I’m going for a 3-1 win for Liverpool. In terms of a goal scorer, I’ll go for Mo Salah because he takes the penalties, you’ve seen the amount given these days. I think that’s a great bet.

This Leeds side has given us something in the Premier League this season. I think they’ve been really good and maybe not got the results that they deserved and none-more-so than in the last game.
Nicolas Pepe got sent off for Arsenal with plenty of time left, then they’re absolutely battering away and not being able to score which was incredible. They had so many chances!
Then in the two previous games they’ve conceded eight goals. So, there’s a shift there, not being able to score and conceding those goals. It’s a difficult one, but they are a good watch, I must say.
Saturday 5.30pm: Everton v Leeds
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Everton are sitting in sixth place and they will welcome that. Against Fulham, they were 3-1 up at half-time and sitting pretty but then they made a mess of it in the second-half.
They’re going to have to work it out, the Leeds defence. Everton have scored the most headed goals with seven in the Premier League. Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s sitting on 10 Premier League goals, sitting on the top of a lot of good players which is quite good.
THOMMO’S TIP: I don’t think there’ll be a lot in this, I do fancy Everton, but only just. I’m going 2-1 to Everton. Richarlison was welcomed back with open arms against Fulham and maybe that did have a change of the way the way they played. But I think with like James Rodriguez, he’s got great delivery, which will help Calvert-Lewin. I would go with Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison to get the two goals. That would be a fair bet for me.
