If England beat Slovenia then they will progress through to the last 16 as group winners, meaning a more favourable opponent in theory as they would face one of the third-placed teams from Group D/E/F on Sunday, June 30.
A draw could be enough to finish second if Denmark fail to beat Serbia, although a two-goal victory for the Danes would see them leapfrog the Three Lions. A second-place finish would set up a meeting with Germany on Saturday, June 29.
A defeat for England would likely result in a third-place finish so Portugal on Monday, July 1 or the winner of Group E (Romania, Belgium, Slovakia or Ukraine) on Tuesday, July 2 would be lying in wait.
