Manchester United staff have been spotted signing a giant leaving card amid doubts over the future of coach Erik ten-Hag.
The Dutch tactician looks to be a dead man walking as Sir Jim Ratcliffe continues his radical shake-up both on and off the field at Old Trafford.
Even a shock win against all conquering Manchester City may not be enough to save his job after a dire campaign that led to an eighth-placed finish in the Premier League.
A Paddy Power News source in the north west said: “There was a delivery from Moonpig on Wednesday afternoon.
“With so many members of staff leaving this summer the card could be for any one of them, although we can rule out Anthony Martial, as he’s already gone back to France to receive treatment on his injured ego.
“Bruno Fernandes has now taken it with him to the team hotel, where they are preparing for Saturday’s defeat to City at Wembley.
“However he was last seen rolling around the floor in ‘agony’ after getting a slight papercut when carrying the card to his room.”

Ten-Hag is keeping tight-lipped on his future, preferring to focus all his attention on keeping the score to below six when the Red Devils take on City – a repeat of last year’s final that was all over after just 13 seconds.
With the writing seemingly on the wall for Ten Hag, a member of staff at Old Trafford added more fuel to the fire by telling our source: “A Pickford’s removal van turned up at the stadium the other day to clear office space that had been damaged by the leaking roof.
“I cannot be 100 per-cent certain, but I’m sure that one of the items they put in the truck was a Manager of the Month award from November 2023.
“There was some bemusement, as no one can recall United being any good, at any point, for more than 10 years.”
