Premier League interest in the Carabao Cup begins here as some of England’s biggest clubs discover their second-round opponents.
The top-flight teams competing in Europe are apparently too busy on the continent to bother with round two so they get a bye to the third stage of the competition.
That leaves the Premier League’s 12 representatives joining the 36 sides from the EFL still standing after half were culled in the first round.
