Souness and Pogba to replace Holly and Phil on This Morning

The chemistry is undeniable

Football pundit Graeme Souness and Juventus star Paul Pogba are set to replace feuding co-hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as the presenters of ITV’s flagship daytime TV programme.

Following days of front-page headlines about reports of Willoughby and Schofield’s strained relationship, ITV bosses wielded the axe and immediately set about finding suitable replacements.

A comprehensive list of presenters was compiled by show producers and after a rigorous selection process it was whittled down to two ideal candidates.

It’s believed Souness and Pogba fought off stiff competition from duos Kanye West and Taylor Swift, Will Smith and Chris Rock, as well as Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton to land the roles.

‘We thought Souey and Pogba would have a much better onscreen chemistry than Holly and Phil’, an ITV source told Paddy Power News.

‘Everyone knows what a huge Pogba fan Graeme is and we thought it would be great to unite the pair for the cameras’.

Pogba has been an ever-present in the Juventus treatment room since re-joining the Turin club last summer from Manchester United where he boasted an impressive record of 178 haircuts over 6 seasons.

Friends claim the Frenchman is excited at the prospect of working with Souness and is rumoured to be working on a dance routine for the pair to use when presenting the show.

Meanwhile, Souness addressed the speculation during a phone-in on talkSPORT and confirmed that he would co-host This Morning alongside the former United trainee.

The 70-year-old Scot revealed that each episode would begin with a segment entitled ‘Where is Paul Pogba in all this?’

‘It’s a bit like ‘Where’s Wally’ but more vindictive’, explained Souness.

‘Instead of trying to find Paul in an illustrated crowd scene, I just sit there and pick holes in him. Whether that be for his footballing ability or just as a person’.

‘Well, it couldn’t be any worse than watching Schofield take selfies with Boris Johnson’.

In related news, after losing their presenting jobs on This Morning, Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield were spotted bunking the queue at their local job centre.
