Chelsea file incorrect team sheet three times ahead of Fulham clash

Surprised it wasn't more to be honest.

Chelsea have been left red-faced for the second time this week after ANOTHER paperwork blunder before Friday’s clash with Fulham.

The Blues failed to offload Hakim Ziyech to Paris St-Germain on transfer deadline day after sending over the wrong documents FOUR times.

And it seems the big-spending Blues have been left with egg on their faces once again after cocking up their team list for the visit of west London rivals Fulham.

A Paddy Power News source revealed John Terry, Didier Drogba, Dennis Wise and Michael Duberry were all listed in the starting XI to face the Cottagers.

In a subsequent squad list Dimitri Kharine was selected in goal, Gus Poyet in midfield and Ruud Gullit the player-manager.

When asked to comment, a Chelsea representative said: “We can hardly be expected to remember all the players we’ve signed this season.

“With the vast spending on the first-team squad, key members of admin staff have been seconded to filling out visas and begging the bank to free up more funds.

“Mind you, I reckon the veteran lads could still do a better job than the current squad.”

In related news, Chelsea have splashed out on four new substitute benches and three new buses to accommodate their new host of star talent.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

The extra capacity is required with the club now having more than 120 senior players on their books – despite only 11 being able to play at once.

Owner Todd Boehly is believed to have taken the plunge on the spending spree after being assured UEFA’s crack team of FFP investigators had been assigned to look into the Premier League side’s investment strategy.

“After their thorough investigation into PSG and Manchester City’s accounts, Todd was left reassured a slapped wrist may be the strongest penalty he could face,” the Chelsea representative added.
