Anthony Martial has demanded a return to parent club Manchester United less than 24-hours after completing a loan move to Sevilla.
Paddy Power News understands the Frenchman ordered his agent to terminate the loan agreement when Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui informed the striker he would have to track back during games.
The 26-year-old, who covers an average distance of 10 metres per game, will return to Manchester with immediate effect.
‘No one told us before we signed that Tony would have to run’, Martial’s agent Philippe Lamboley told Paddy Power News.
‘When Tony loses the ball, he prefers to stand with his hands on his hips and a look on his face like he’s just smelt a rancid fart’.
‘This is why United sign long-distance runners like Fred to do Tony’s work for him’.
‘We will now return to Manchester where he can sulk and leak stories to the press along with Van de Beek, Lingard and Henderson’, added Lamboley.
Meanwhile, Martial is hoping that a deal can be brokered with a more suitable club before the transfer window shuts.
‘I was hoping United would allow me to stand up front with my hands on my hips for the rest of the season but Ralf told me that position has already been filled by Cristiano’, the former Monaco star told Paddy Power News.
‘So we’ll have to look at alternatives.
‘I hear the League of Ireland is nice this time of year’.
In related news, with only 5 days of the current transfer window remaining, Manchester United are desperate to sabotage any moves for their fringe players on massive salaries.
‘Even though offloading unused squad players on huge wages would free up substantial funds to improve the first team – this is not the United way’, chief executive Ed Woodward told Paddy Power News.
‘We prefer to let the players rot on the bench while their contracts run down and then allow them to leave on a free, thus receiving zero transfer fee – this IS the United way’, he added.
