Pep Guardiola has been unsuccessfully trying to give away free tickets for City’s home games, Paddy Power News can exclusively reveal.
The Spaniard was spotted in various locations around Manchester thrusting the tickets in the disinterested faces of members of the public.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
Some of the people were so desperate to get away from Guardiola they stopped to speak to sales reps and charity workers asking people to switch broadband providers and sponsor snow leopards.
It follows the 50-year-old’s desperate televised appeal last night begging supporters to show up for Saturday’s home game against Southampton.
Addressing BT Sport viewers after his side’s 6-3 victory over RB Leipzig in a behind closed doors game, Guardiola sobbed:
‘Once again we are relying on your financial support – the Sheik is down to his last $22 billion’.
‘Please, no one is cross with you, we just want you back home’.
‘We scored 16 goals in our last 3 games here and Jack Grealish’s calves are worth the admission fee alone’.

‘Southampton are so, so dangerous. Even Leicester and Man United could only scrape 9-0 wins against them’.
‘We’re running a special “buy-one-get-15” deal – just use the promo code ‘F-ALL-FANS’. Don’t miss out!’
Meanwhile, Paddy Power News understands Manchester City have lodged a £1.2 million bid for Bolton Wanderer’s fans.
However, it’s believed Trotters season ticket holders will reject any such move, preferring away trips at Wycombe and Plymouth to a season spent inside the Emptihad.
In related news, the NSPCC has blasted Manchester City after it emerged the club have been sending free match tickets for children to local schools.
Parents were horrified to find tickets for City’s home games in their children’s schoolbags.
‘If I wanted my child to grow up supporting a plastic club with no fans I’d have bought him a Chelsea top last Christmas’, said one disgruntled father.
