Tottenham are still looking for a manager after sacking Jose Mourinho in April. With Spurs languishing down the table and not looking likely for a top-four finish, Mourinho paid with his job. After the 2-2 draw at Everton, Spurs were left a long way adrift of the top four and the axe fell. Ryan Mason’s been drafted in to replace him until the end of the season, but who will be the man to take them forward long term?

Nuno Espirito Santo
Could it be a case of one Portuguese out, with another heading in? It has been confirmed that Nuno Espitiro Santo is leaving Wolves after a four-year stint. He soon went flying into favouritism to take over at Spurs following the announcement he was leaving Molineux.
Simone Inzaghi
Lazio legend turned manager Simone Inzaghi has been with the Italian club for over 20 years in various roles but could be tempted into a change of scenery. He’s approaching the end of his 5th year in charge of I Biancocelesti but with Champions League football proving elusive he and the club might decide to part ways.
Graham Potter
Could the King of the xG boys get a shot at the big time? Graham Potter’s Brighton have been near the bottom of the table all season, but the stats suggest they should be far higher. Sounds like a perfect fit for Spurs.
Scott Parker
Scott Parker has taken Fulham down the Championship, but he’s high in the market to replace Mourinho at the still-yet-to-be-given-a-sponsorship-name-stadium. Parker, who used to play for Spurs after being signed by Harry Redknapp in 2011, got the Cottagers promoted via the playoffs last year but they couldn’t avoid an instant return to the Championship. Style over substance, anyone?
Brendan Rodgers
Brendan Rodgers has guided Leicester to the FA Cup final and a top four finish looks on the cards for the Foxes. Rodgers has turned Leicester into regular top-four contenders after an impressive spell at Celtic where he won the lot and nearly guided Liverpool to the title in 2014 before their slip at the wrong moment.
Antonio Conte
Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has ended Juventus’ stranglehold on Serie A by winning the title with Inter Milan. Now he’s ticked that off the list we’re bracing for the inevitable fallout with the board and unceremonious exit by Christmas. Maybe he’ll cut to the chase and leave Inter on a high?
Roberto Martinez
Belgium manager Roberto Martinez is an international manager who could head back into the club game. He’s won a major domestic trophy more recently than Spurs when he took Wigan to FA Cup glory in 2013. A pretty dismal end to his time at Everton afterwards could count against him, but he seems to have done reasonably well with the Belgians, who are among the favourites for Euro 2020.
Maurizio Sarri
One of work manager with Premier League experience is Maurizio Sarri. He could become the latest manager to head to Tottenham and be a miserable failure are previously managing Chelsea. He most recently got the boot from Juventus despite leading them to the Serie A title – something his successor Andrea Pirlo wasn’t able to emulate.
Eddie Howe
The former Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has been strongly linked with replacing Neil Lennon at Celtic, but would the lure of managing Tottenham be too much for him to turn down? Howe took the Cherries from League Two to the Premier League and could fancy a shot at the north London club.
Erik ten Hag
Ajax boss Erik ten Hag shot to fame when guiding his side the the Champions League semi final where they were sensationally knocked out by Spurs. Nothing Spursier than him taking the reins in North London then, is there?
Jurgen Klinsmann
Spurs hero Jurgen Klinsmann is a free agent after a poor spell at Hertha Berlin. The former Germany, USA and Bayern Munich boss has a good looking CV but most of his best work came in the first half of the last decade. He’s free and is looking to get back into work.
Rafa Benitez
Rafa Benitez ticks plenty of boxes for Spurs and has previously swooped in after a Mourinho departure, having taken the top job at Inter Milan in 2010 (the less said about that the better, though). The ex-Liverpool and Newcastle boss is without a job and could take the reins straight away if they want to recruit the Spaniard.
Ralf Rangnick
Ralf Rangnick holds a lofty reputation in Germany and is likely to be an expensive appointment. The former RB Leipzig and Schalke boss is looking for work and might appeal with his progressive brand of football.
Massimiliano Allegri
Also in the running appears to be Max Allegri. He’s currently without a job after leading Juventus to two Champions League finals as well as the Serie A title during every one of his five seasons in charge. He won it with AC Milan in the 2010-11 season too.
Steven Gerrard
He’s one of the most successful English managers at present has been cutting his teeth north of the border at Rangers. It’s long been assumed Steven Gerrard would have his eyes on a return to Liverpool, but could Spurs pip their Premier League rivals to the punch?
Gareth Southgate
Could a big summer for Gareth Southgate earn him a shot at a big Premier League club? The England boss would seem highly unlikely to throw away the chance to lead his country this summer but the ex-Middlesbrough manager may find himself on the wanted list of some big clubs if he can take the Three Lions all the way at Euro 2020.
Ledley King
Could Spurs look a bit closer to home? Club legend and current coach Ledley King was among the early frontrunners to be named Tottenham’s next permanent manager but has faded somewhat recently.
Diego Simeone
Maybe one ‘Super League’ coach could swap one club for another? Diego Simeone has been a huge success at Atletico Madrid and would certainly spice things up in the Premier League.
