Ronaldo: ‘Tweet from lad with 24 followers only makes me stronger’

Haters gonna hate

Cristiano Ronaldo has reiterated criticism only makes him stronger after some fella on Twitter with 24 followers said he was shite.

The 36-year-old has endured a torrid campaign at Juventus netting a paltry 34 goals in 41 games which has led to claims from an unemployed internet troll that he’s shite now.

Ronaldo has made it clear that any criticism from @DangerousDave79 only inspires him to get the best out of himself and feels he would not have been as successful without his haters.

‘Without the negative comments from fat middle-aged men such as Dangerous Dave I would not be the player I am today’, the Portuguese told Paddy Power News.

‘When I heard that Dave’s tweet saying I was shite now got 1 like, it provided me with all the motivation I need for the rest of the season’.

‘I would like to dedicate my 5 Ballon d’Ors to Dave. He has helped me to achieve all I have achieved – not only in football – but in life too’.

The former Real Madrid ace posted a video to his Instagram account which shows him working out at home with @DangerousDave79’s nasty tweets adorning the walls of the gym.

‘When I feel like quitting, I just look up at Dave’s tweet which says I’m shite and I can run another 5000 kilometres’, revealed the former Manchester United star.

Meanwhile, with Juventus looking increasingly likely to miss out on Champions League football next season, Ronaldo confirmed he’s cancelled his Thursday night cookery classes for 2021/22.

‘It’s a shame because I paid for a full year’s lessons up front’, said the 5-times Champions League winner.

‘I was just the getting the hang of it and everyone thought my last batch of Vol-Au-Vents were the best so far’.

‘I will come back from this better and stronger in the kitchen. I’m coming for you Mary Berry’, he added before ripping off his shirt and flexing his abdominal muscles.
