Football tips: Tuck into our tasty 11/1 treble for Thursday’s Europa League ties

Can Steven Gerrard’s side keep the momentum going in Europe?

20:00 Real Sociedad v Napoli: Over 2.5 Goals

Both sides are coming into this match in decent form. Real Sociedad are currently top of La Liga in Spain on 14 points after seven matches, while Napoli are second in Italy to AC Milan on 11 points after five matches. There have been plenty of goals in matches involving these teams of late too, four out of the last six Real Sociedad matches have seen Over 2.5 Goals occurring and the stats are the same for Napoli’s previous six matches.

Napoli could really do with the three points here after losing their opener at home to AZ Alkmaar, on the flip side Sociedad were 1-0 winners away to Rijeka last week, so the onus will be on them to attack here from the outset. Then again, the Italians don’t really know any other way of playing. We should see both teams going for it here as both are in great form and in good goal-scoring form too.

20:00 Rangers v Lech Poznan: Rangers to Win & Both Teams To Score

Rangers come into this match on the back of some incredibly good form. They’ve had 17 matches this season and have only lost one. Indeed, they’ve won 14 of those 17, drawing just two. Poznan aren’t in great nick at all this campaign, they’ve won just two of their seven league matches this season, drawing three and losing two.

They’ve had a long road to the Europa League Group Stage, winning all four of their qualification matches, but in their first Group D match at home to Benfica last week they took a bit of a hammering and lost 4-2 on the night. Steven Gerrard’s Rangers love nothing more than a win to nil, as they’ve conceded just three goals over their 12 league matches so far. However, they’re going to find it very tough to keep Poznan scoreless here.

The Poles have had 13 matches across three competitions so far this season and have scored in all of them. Rangers’ home record though, coupled with Poznan’s recent record of just one win in their last four, should see the home side prevail. Will they keep a free-scoring Poznan scoreless? We say no, so we’re backing Rangers to Win and BTTS.

20:00 Slavia Prague v Bayer Leverkusen: Under 2.5 Goals

Slavia Prague’s Sinobo Stadium is seen as one of those ‘tough places to go’. Indeed, they’ve lost just two of their last seven in the Europa League. In the Champions League things aren’t so good though, as they’ve only won one of their last seven at home.

Leverkusen’s form is decent, they’ve had nine matches this season and have lost just two – to Bayern Munich and Inter, so no shame there. Their scoring form on the road isn’t the best though, they’ve scored 10 over their five most recent away matches. However, seven of them were in one match.

Over 2.5 Goals has only landed in one of Slavia’s seven most recent home EL matches and has only landed in two out of Leverkusen’s seven most recent away as well. The stats are showing that there’s value to be had in backing Unders here.
