Pep Guardiola refused to be drawn on whether his hooded cardigan would feature against Lyon tomorrow night.
The cashmere garment last appeared during City’s 6-0 thrashing of Watford in last season’s FA Cup Final.
However, the £1200 hoodie fell out of favour this year with the Spaniard opting for a black woollen jumper instead.

‘I’ve said many times, and continue saying, I’m more than delighted with Hoodsy. He’s been a valuable addition to my wardrobe’.
‘I want what is best for him and at the end of Spring/Summer season we are going to speak about what is going to happen’.
‘I am honest with him, like I am with all my clothes, and if fashion changes then it might be time move on’.
The cardigan, a firm favourite with all 5 of Man City’s supporters, broke the internet this morning with a tweet reading: ‘Fashion is temporary; class is permanent’.
Emptihad season ticket holder, Noel Manning, believes the cardigan could have a huge impact on the outcome of tomorrow night’s game:

‘I was just saying to r’kid this morning, Hoodsy’s tailor-made for this type of game’.
‘Pep used him in 30 games during our quadruple-winning season. And yes, before you f**king ask, we are counting the Charity Shield as well’.
However, SkySports pundits Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher questioned whether the cardigan could make a comeback after such a long spell on the shelf.
While showing a highlight reel of some of football’s worst fashion faux pas, Neville squeaked:
‘When I think about some of the shockers down the years: Gareth Southgate’s waistcoat; Beck’s sarong; Tom Davies f**king house coat – Pep’s hooded cardigan is up there with the worst of them’.
His colleague Carragher was even more sceptical:
‘A year’s along time in the fashion industry. Styles, they come and go. We saw what happened with boot-cut jeans and Von Dutch hats in the early noughties. Are we all gonna be ordering hooded-cardigans after the game tomorrow night? Only time will tell I guess.
