Sheffield Wednesday vs West Brom: Half Time Draw
The Championship, 19.45
By far the vast amount of punters are going to be focusing on West Brom here, Wednesday have a pretty iffy home record with seven wins, six draws and six losses, averaging just 0.89 goals per game and conceding 1.16. The Baggies though might be in trouble, they’ve collected only one point from six since the return to action. A loss here and should Brentford beat Reading on Tuesday night they’re going to have the Bees swarming around them for the remainder of the season.
Football is back! Hallelujah! Get the latest odds at PaddyPower.comFrom their previous 19 home league matches Wednesday have been level at half time in nine of them. On the road the Baggies have been level at halftime in ten out of 20 matches and both teams have low first-half scoring records – the Owls have scored a first-half goal in just 21% of home matches, while West Brom have scored in 45% of their away games first halves, but none since the restart.
With those stats the first half draw should be priced lower than what it is, we’re getting some nice value here at around Evens and we’re expecting a cagey first half at Hillsborough.
Lecce vs Sampdoria: Over 2.5 Goals
Serie A, 20.45
With ten games to go, including this one, this is a proper relegation six pointer. A win for either side will see them climb out of the relegation fight, a draw isn’t much good to anyone here. Of course, many of us are old enough to remember the likes of Ruud Gullit, Gianluca Vialli, Roberto Mancini and Attilio Lombardo playing for Sampdoria and it’s sad to see the club struggling over recent seasons but obviously your league position is where you deserve to be.
The home side have won just two home Serie A matches all season, drawing five and losing seven. Sampdoria have won three on their travels, drawing one and losing nine. Lecce are scoring 1.43 on average, conceding 2.14, Samp are scoring 1.08 and conceding 2.0 on the road. Both teams have to win and have to go for goals here. Over 2.5 goals has landed in all of the last four home Lecce games and in the last four for Sampdoria on the road, the odds reflect that but we should see plenty of goalmouth action here tonight.

Spal vs AC Milan: Milan to Score Over 1.5 Goals
Serie A, 20.45
Spal on 18 points after 28 matches are obviously doomed but Milan can close the gap on Napoli with a win here as they try and get back into European football. The home side have won just two home matches all season but Milan have been consistently inconsistent on the road, winning seven, drawing one and losing six, however, they’ve won both of their matches since the restart and kept Juventus scoreless in the Coppa Italia semi-final. They scored at least two in their league matches since the restart and with Lecce’s leaky defence we see that trend continuing.
Betis vs Villareal: Both Teams to Score – Yes
La Liga, 21:00
Betis haven’t been great since the resumption of Spain’s La Liga, winning one, drawing one and losing three. Villareal, on the other hand, are unbeaten, winning four and drawing one. Betis are decent at home though, winning eight, drawing four and losing only four. Villareal have won seven, drawn one and lost eight.
The momentum is with the away side but Betis have won four out of the last six meetings at the Estadio Benito Villamarin so we’re nervous of giving Villareal the nod here. BTTS has landed in four of those meetings and in four out of five previous home Betis matches so we’re going with that trend to continue.
