Milan restarted their season with a 4-1 win away to Lecce while Roma beat Sampdoria 2-1 at home. The home side haven’t been great at home with four wins, five draws and four losses this season. Meanwhile, Roma have faired better with seven victories, three stalemates and three defeats on their Serie A travels.
Over the last few seasons Roma have held the upper hand at the San Siro winning three of the last five games, Milan won the other two. Over 2.5 goals occurred in four of those five occasions, as did Both Teams to Score.
Both Teams to Score is swinging it here, as Over 2.5 has only landed in two of the previous five Serie A matches at the San Siro.
Napoli find themselves six points behind Roma and regardless of how the match at the San Siro goes earlier in the day, Napoli need to go all out here to close the gap as they currently find themselves in the Europa League qualification places.
Spal are pretty much doomed to relegation, there are enough games left to pull themselves out of it, but they’ve just not been good enough this season.
Napoli’s home form this season hasn’t been great, but since Gennero Gattuso took over from Carlo Ancellotti in December they’ve played 17 – winning nine, drawing three and losing five. Spal are awful on the road, they’ve won just three games all season, drawing one and losing 10.
Napoli look hungry again and eager for goals, they should run away with this and easily brush Spal aside.
With just five games to go after this match, Basaksehir could take a very important step towards landing the Super Lig title with a win here. Galatasaray are chasing the final Champions League place, however they have only won once at the Fatih Terim Stadium over their five most recent visits.
Basaksehir are scoring 2.43 goals on average at home this season and conceding 0.86. While Galatasaray have been scoring 1.46 and conceding 1.08.
Basaksehir have won their last seven home matches in-a-row and that should continue here as they chase down that title, but Galatasaray will cause some problems.
You wouldn’t normally expect Espanyol to go out of their way to do any favours for Barcelona, but then again football, is a strange sport. Who would have thought that Liverpool fans would ever be cheering on Chelsea the other night?
Anyway, Espanyol find themselves eight points from safety with seven games to go (including this one), but against Real they’ve only won three times over their last 15 meetings at home. Add to this the Catalans are only averaging a goal per home game and Real should win here.
One note of caution though, since the return Real haven’t been steamrolling teams – winning by one goal once, two goals twice and three goals once. We’re going with a safer bet here: Real to Win and Over 1.5 Goals.
