Watch: Hernandez pounces on goalkeeping howler to grab late Leeds win

Leeds United have held onto one of the Championship’s promotion spots after the Spanish wizard found himself in the right place to capitalise on a gift…

There may not have been an early game in the Premier League on Saturday, but the Championship offering in its place more than made up for it in terms of drama.

Sheffield United hosted a Yorkshire derby with rivals Leeds United in an arm wrestle at the top of the table, with both clubs hoping for a win to aid their respective promotion bids.

What ensued was an engrossing, yet predictable battle as both sides scraped for supremacy. As the clocked ticked into its final 10 minutes, it seems that we’d have to settle for a 0-0 draw as both outfits failed to unlock the others’ stern defences.
