We’ve taken a battering at Ally Pally – and Sky Sports presenter Emma Paton is to blame.
Paton is providing daily tips for us here at Paddy Power News – and struck gold for punters on Thursday after landing a massive four-fold that paid out at 109/1.
The Sky Sports host predicted Radek Szaganski to beat Marko Kantele 3-2 in the opening game and it duly came in at 4/1.
Irishman Steve Lennon to beat Owen Bates was her second pick at 4/6, which won after he clinched a fifth-set decider in a thrilling first-round clash.
Paton then opted for Lennon’s countryman William O’Connor to beat Bhav Patel without losing a leg at 3/1 in the next, which came in, before Paton’s clean sweep was completed by Ross Smith.

Paton predicted the high-scoring No.16 seed would beat Niels Zonneveld 3-1 at 21/10, and he did just that.
A spokesman for Paddy Power said: “Emma’s taken us to the cleaners – and it’s all our fault! We wanted to bring in a top class brain to PP News to mark our Ally Pally sponsorship, and we knew she knew her stuff.
“But we didn’t show she’d be this good. She’s absolutely killed us and it’s only day five of the tournament! We’ve barely added her to the IT system.

“Emma tipped the selections up as singles but we had punters who had combined them for a four-fold and fair play to them, that’s Christmas paid for.”
