We’ll take a look at the darting action on Thursday at the Alexandra Palace and we’ll concentrate on the evening action. I’ve got a match treble that will hopefully give us a few quid. I’m going to start with Rob Cross against Mervyn King.

14:00 – Rob Cross v Mervyn King – Cross to Win

Rob Cross is, of course, a former World Champion and he’s gone a little but off the rails after winning the World Championship three years ago but he seems back to his best and was very impressive in his first round win against Scott Williams where he hit seven 180s and a 99.32 average.

Cross has a long way to go in this tournament but there’s every chance he goes deep and he should have no problems with Mervyn King who is not the force of old. Rob Cross to Win is our first leg.

15:15 – Dave Chisnall v Stephen Bunting – Chisnall to Win

Dave Chisnall against Stephen Bunting is the second match of the night. Chisnall, even though he’s his the crossbar at this competition a few times, showed plenty of impressive throwing in a 3-1 win against Andrew Gilding. He’s averaged 97.87 with seven 180s. Bunting is not the force that he was when he moved over from the BDO so we’ll have Chisnall to Win against Bunting.

It should be a good game but Chisnall should have enough based on what we saw in the first round.

19:15 – Luke Humphries v Vincent van der Voort – Humphries to Win

The last leg is Luke Humphries v Vincent van der Voort. This looks one of the best matches of the night. Humphries has shown how good he can be at this tournament in recent years and he had a good average in his first-round win to book his place in this match. He take on Vincent van der Voort who never really goes far in this tournament.

Even though he beat Cameron Menzies in the first round, Menzies had a better average. So, our big Thursday night treble is Cross, Chisnall and Humphries all to Win.
