The PDC World Darts Championship is one of the sporting highlights of the Christmas period as the cream of the arrows crop descend on North London.
Peter Wright hit the bullseye in last season’s tournament to join an elite club of multiple winners but the usual suspects are stepping up to the oche to steal the crown.
The three-week festive fiesta kicks off at Alexandra Palace tonight but who are the favourites to lift the Sid Waddell Trophy in the New Year?
The latest PDC World Darts Championship odds are on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise prices for the leading contenders can be found below.
Michael van Gerwen heads into the 30th edition of the PDC World Darts Championship as the favourite with Paddy Power, despite sitting third in the official rankings. The 33-year-old Dutchman last won the tournament in 2019 and was forced to withdraw at the third-round stage last year after testing positive for COVID-19.
Gerwyn Price has one World Championship on his CV having triumphed at Alexandra Palace in 2021 and the world number one is second in the betting ahead of the first round. The Iceman is on track to face the legend Raymond van Barneveld in a tasty round three tie.
Michael Smith is hoping that it will be third time lucky having been defeated in the final in 2019 and 2022. Bully Boy won this year’s Grand Slam but faces a potential quarter-clash clash with fifth seed Luke Humphries.
Peter Wright is bidding to become the first player since Gary Anderson in 2016 to successfully defend the Sid Waddell Trophy and our traders have priced Snakebite, who also claimed won the tournament in 2020, as fourth in the betting to be the outright winner.
