Rowby-John Rodriguez v Lourence Ilagan – 19:15

This is where experience is likely to kick in. Rodriguez has got to the second round on a couple of occasions, he’s got a world ranking of 56. He should have too much for Ilagen, who has failed six times to get past the first round.

William O’Connor

William O’Connor v Beau Greaves – 20:15

Limerick’s O’Connor has got a world ranking of 37. That has a lot to do with his performance in this tournament last year. He got to third round, before losing to the eventual runner-up Michael Smith. He should have the experience to beat the women’s world champion, Beau Greaves, who has been in excellent form in 2022, but is likely to fall short here. 

Florian Hempel

Florian Hempel v Keegan Brown – 21:05
TV: Sky Sports Arena

There’s a disparity in quality in this one. Hempel is ranked 16th, while Brown is well down in 64. While Brown did make it to the last-16 back in 2018, Hempel has had a much stronger 12-months. He looks like a player going places.
