The “Bullyboy” Michael Smith is the short favourite for tonight at 4/9, followed by Martin Kleermaker 9/2, Harry Ward 5/1 and Matt Clark 8/1.
Some players have reacted differently to the unique circumstances in which they find themselves, which has led to some shock wins in the tournament thus far. However, I find it tough to look past Michael Smith in the Outright market tonight.
Michael Smith v Martin Kleermaker – 19:30
The Bullyboy takes on the up and coming Dutch talent that is Martin Kleermaker in the first tie of the night, which looks set to be a blistering affair. Both players will likely enjoy the pace of play, but with Smith being 2/9 for the match I would be looking elsewhere for a bet. Both players are known to be prolific 180 throwers and should easily find their rhythm with the pace of play set to suit.
Recommended Bet: Over 3.5 180s at 8/11
Harry Ward v Matt Clark – 20:00
The promising 22-year-old Harry Ward takes on a journeyman of the pro tour circuit, Matt Clark, in the second tie of the night. Following much promise at youth level Harry Ward earned his Tour Card last year managing to win a Player Championship event along the way.
However, his performances on the Pro Tour this year have been somewhat lacking. One aspect of his game that has been consistent his year is his 180 strike rate and this looks like a good angle for a bet in this match.
Recommended Bet: Harry Ward Most 180s at 10/11
Perfection for the first time since 2017 🎯
Michael Smith finished his round in just nine darts, the lowest possible!

Michael Smith v Harry Ward – 21:00
This look set to be another match played at a blistering pace and should make for great viewing. I would hope Harry Ward will bring his game for this match but think the Bullyboy will have too much for him. However, I still think that Harry Ward’s 180 hitting has been underestimated in the market and this could be an angle for a bet.
Recommended Bet: Harry Ward Most 180s & Lose at 10/3 and Harry Ward Most 180s at 11/5
