Dallas Mavericks @ Boston Celtics – NBA Finals
Best of seven series begins Friday 01:30am
TV: TNT Sports

Game one of the NBA Finals gets underway on Thursday night as the Boston Celtics host the Dallas Mavericks at TD Garden.

It’s a showdown between a couple of star duos in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown v Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving but who will come out on top? Here’s our Bet Builder…

Luka Doncic Over 31.5 Points

Doncic is the potential next face of the NBA and it’ll be hard to argue with it if the Slovenian beats Tatum and Brown to a first championship.

The point guard, who leads the Mavericks in points, rebounds, assists and steals in the play-offs, won the NBA scoring title in the regular season after averaging 33.9 points per outing.

Doncic is putting up 28.8 points per game in the post-season and he’ll be well aware he’ll need to put up monster numbers if Dallas are to beat Boston, who finished with the best record in the league this campaign.

He has dropped 36, 28, 33, 32 and 33 in his last five play-off outings and that trend should continue even against this stacked Celtics side and Jrue Holiday guarding him. We’re with Doncic Over 31.5 Points.

Luka Doncic Over 3.5 Made Threes

As we’re already on another Doncic masterclass, backing him to Make Over 3.5 Threes is an obvious addition.

He gets up an average of 9.8 threes per game and 3.4 of them go in. He’s also dropped four or more threes in his last four outings and in six of his last seven games.

As the ball is mostly in Doncic’s hands, there will be a few scenarios where he has no options so he’ll just shoot from beyond the arc – and because he’s so good, a fair amount of them go in.

Doncic will also play almost every minute of game one on Thursday night so he’ll have ample opportunities to get shots up.

Jayson Tatum To Record 10+ Rebounds

Tatum is averaging 26 points per game in the post-season but his rebound numbers have been more impressive.

The Celtics superstar jumped from a regular season average of 8.1 rebounds to 10.4 rebounds in the play-offs.

Tatum, who is leading Boston in points, rebounds and assists, has grabbed 10 or more boards in eight of his last 10 games. Let’s hope that continues!

Jaylen Brown Over 23.5 Points

While Tatum is Boston’s main man, Brown has had a brilliant play-offs. He’s averaging 25 points per game, while chipping in with an average of 6.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

Brown, who was named the Eastern Conference Finals MVP ahead of Tatum after their series win against the Indiana Pacers, has turned it on in his last few games.

His points tally for his last seven games reads: 29, 24, 40, 26, 11, 27, 28. Brown is shooting 54.1 per cent from the floor in the play-offs and we’re confident of him finishing with Over 23.5 Points.

Dereck Lively To Record 8+ Rebounds

Dereck Lively has been a real X-Factor for the Mavericks this year.

The Dallas big man is chipping in with 8.6 points per outing in the play-offs but his effort on the glass is crucial to the Mavericks’ success. He’s grabbing 7.2 rebounds per game in the post-season, which is second only to Doncic.

Lively was forced out of game three against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals with a neck injury but he returned for game five and put up nine points and eight rebounds.

Apart from game three against the Timberwolves where he played just nine minutes, Lively has finished with eight or more rebounds in his last five outings.

NBA Betting Tips:

Luka Doncic Over 31.5 Points
Luka Doncic Over 3.5 Made Threes
Jayson Tatum To Record 10+ Rebounds
Jaylen Brown Over 23.5 Points
Dereck Lively To Record 8+ Rebounds
